I shed a few tears watching this. They both seemed lovely families. The Southamptom family may not have had much money but they were certainly " rich" in love for each other.

That's a but harsh of the the twitterer! They needed a car and I would say sky was their only little "luxury". I for one wouldn't begrudge them that. And the £170 had to cover food as well and they were happy with their lot which many aren't these days.
I enjoyed it too Merlotgran. Bit obvious though that the rich family were going to buy them a mobility scooter.

Some on twitter complaining that they weren't 'poor' as they had £170 a week left after paying all their bills, had sky tv, run a car.
I suppose that if your someone working and still having to use a food bank you might view 'poor' in a different way?

I enjoyed the last series so was glad to see it back again.

The lovely family from Southampton who delighted in every aspect of their week of high living had me reaching for the Kleenex - especially the little girl with her new clothes and the boy when he said goodbye to the huge garden (sob)

It makes me so grateful to have what I have.
