A touch of nostalgia.

Yesterday I started to listen to Paul Temple on BBCIPlayer. It is a series broadcast in 1946 the year I was born.

They have modern actors but are using some old equipment to make it sound authentic.

It does make me laugh when Paul Temple wants to swear he says ‘By Timothy’ never heard that before. There are some girls in it who are not as good as they should be ?

I think it is called Paul Temple and the Gregory Affair (there are 10 episodes) episode 1 only has a few days left on the BBC. If you half an hour free give it a whirl.

I remember the original only too well. It is quite a blast from the past though, definately of it's time.

I would love to know how any times in the series "Steve" was kidnapped and Paul knocked out .
There is probably a geek out there somewhere who knows that piece of trivia.

The theme tune - coronation Scot - was, and still is, among my favourite pieces of music! Don't suppose they are still using it though!

Oh ‘ by Timothy’ - I remember one story when Steve realised that it wasn’t Paul on the phone because he said ‘by George’ and thus the dastardly villain came unstuck

I'm thoroughly enjoying it, especially the recap of the previous episode which gets me back up to speed.

I like a bit of nostalgia and am particularly looking for to 'Murder in the Orient Express' which comes out in cinemas on 3 November. I will tempt Mr NK to join me by offering him some sherbet lemons and pontefract cakes, how could he resist ? ?
