Wow! I've just been blown away by the live shots and the pre-filmed bits on this programme! Can't wait for the next one! Beautiful. Thanks to all involved envy

Yes I agree, well presented too

Wonderful filming , great programme.

Well without putting the dampers on a truly brilliant program it did make me think that being paid the enormous salary that Matt Baker gets (he was on THAT list) this program had better be bloody good. Mind you I'm not sure I would call that trip of a life time "work" at all. I would have done it for free. smile

Anyway now that's off my chest. Yes it was excellent.

I think the photographers work hard on this type of programme but I would do it for free as well.

gillybob Sun 23-Jul-17 22:37:36

I agree TizLiz the photographers do all the hard work. The presenters do very little really .

I don't know whether it's just our television but we were both struck by how good the photography was, almost 3D at times. Brilliant!

Same with mine Deeda sometimes I thought they were standing infront of a kind of backdrop, not a live scene. Brilliant photography.

Hear hear Deedaa! Worth the licence fee alone IMO!

It was great. I've always wanted to go to Alaska but DH has always said he woun't go anywhere cold! I think his mind was changed after watching this smile

Being a presenter on live tv is probably not as easy as it looks. Matt Baker does it very well, i.m.h.o.
Marvellous programme all round. Absolutely brilliant.

Stunning photography.
I found the female presenter a bit annoying at times. At one point she asked an expert a question which she had answered in the previous sentence !
Am I the only one who thinks at times programes such as this treat the public like 5 yr olds ? I know some of the public are far more knowledgable than others but sometimes they ask questions which have really obvious answers.

We've just got back from Alaska and most days it was about 18 degrees!
