I read the book several years ago and found it very disturbing. I can't remember the end but I do recall feeling pretty miserable after reading it.

I have to say that I thought the TV adaptation was good - the acting superb - though, with the misery being piled on, I'm not sure I will last out the whole series.

Did anyone else watch this last night.
I am intrigued to see where it goes.

Some of the scenes were quite disturbing I thought.

I often wonder about the people who write these sort of stories and how their brains work to come up with such ideas.
