I agree with Coolgran65 and think the party was for swingers, hence the overwhelming number of men at the party. This would also explain why Trish said she was wearing "matching purple bra and pants - brand new" .... who wears those unless they are expecting them to be seen by someone else? Also Trish's husband made a comment about her having had sex with a lot of men in the last 6 months.

The young man in charge of the rope and fishing net factory was very arrogant I thought Ilovecheese, and the new editor? in charge of the newspaper when she was dealing with the experienced editor of the local paper, as well as the young policewoman of course.
I look forward to seeing them getting their comeuppance

I enjoyed it too, "Haley" is an amazing actress, I thought it was very emotional when she told her daughter what had happened.

I enjoyed watching it last night- the suspects are lining up!

One young police officer is a bit stroppy, not noticed that anybody else is.

I really enjoyed it, more than the second series. Thought "Hayley" was great.

Also, David Tennant looked much more healthy than in the last series. Then he was positively gaunt, can't remember exactly what his health problems were, but they seem to have been sorted.

I was just wondering why they didn't put paper mob caps on when they were collecting the evidence there or in her home.

Relieved not to be the only one who occasionally couldn't understand what DT said. Usually when I go back and turn up the volume I get it but last night I still couldn't.

I am afraid I watched it totally uncritically, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Well, sort of. Cried when the woman was taken back and undressed and interviewed. I think I must be over emotional at the moment as I don't usually get so effected.

I like David Tennant (he doesn't set my heart a-flutter) but I thought he was very good in this despite not understanding some of what he said ; he and Olivia Coleman make a good team.

The forensic medical examiner may not necessarily be a doctor and in any case a serious bash on the head could require a scan or at least a visit to A&E.

But surely the forensic medical examiner would be a qualified doctor?

I too was wondering where the doctor was - this woman had been injured - IRL they would have had a doctor on hand. I have been the "appropriate adult" in these situations and a doctor is always there.

Terriebell I said the same think to my daughter wouldn't she have been checked out for concussion seeing as she had been unconscious
I did find it a wee bit slow but presume it will speed up I hadn't seen the other series so was glad it's a stand alone story
I don't see the excitement in David Tennent I m afraid, he's ok but doesn't set my heart a flutter

I enjoyed it as well, hopefully going to be much better than the previous series. Julie Hesmondhalgh was a very convincing victim. David T is a bonus of course.
