Anyone watching? I think 'hayley' played a good part

ninathenana Tue 18-Apr-17 00:56:28

Elrel H was expecting the van to go over the cliff too.

BlueBelle Mon 17-Apr-17 23:59:41

It did fizzle out a bit and wasn't the big ending I was expecting but I enjoyed the series very much So glad Lennie had nothing to do with it

Coolgran65 Mon 17-Apr-17 23:27:49

Totally not impressed with the ending.
I feel let down.

Eloethan Mon 17-Apr-17 22:43:27

I found this last episode a bit boring and not very surprising at all.

cornergran Mon 17-Apr-17 22:39:40

Enjoyed it. Will miss this programme. Sad there are to be no more.

Welshwife Mon 17-Apr-17 22:34:21

There seems to be another police drama - Little Boy Blue - no idea if it is a one off or series as yet.

Charleygirl Mon 17-Apr-17 22:12:51

I thought that there was a good twist to it. Sad that was the last- what am I going to watch next week?

seacliff Mon 17-Apr-17 22:07:58

Yes the vicar was one of many red herrings ...I reckon Mark will "sort himself out" and come back to his family eventually. We'll never know. I bet West Bay has had some extra visitors since this programme.

Ana Mon 17-Apr-17 22:06:05

I was underwhelmed - certainly not the 'shocking ending' that had been predicted...

Badenkate Mon 17-Apr-17 22:05:57

So sad to think there won't be any more series ?

Elrel Mon 17-Apr-17 22:04:07

Right up to the credits I was afraid poor Mark might drive his van off the cliff. What a vile psychopath 'twine boy' turned out to be. The vicar seems to be innocent of anything after all.

seacliff Mon 17-Apr-17 22:01:58

I loved it ... didn't want it to end.

Badenkate Mon 17-Apr-17 20:50:42

I think there are at least 2 involved, one of whom is the dodgy taxi driver, and that one of them is filming the 'action' to make porn films.

Jalima1108 Mon 17-Apr-17 20:42:04

Should we put bets on?

Jalima1108 Tue 11-Apr-17 23:55:33

I am pleased that they have carried on with the Latymers' story too.

I wonder why the vicar features so much and I am very suspicious of him.
At one time I thought that the friend, Kath, may have had something to do with it as I thought she may have found out that Trish had slept with her husband that morning and that she and Trish's ex-husband had planned it as a form of revenge.
But now I'm not sure after the last episode, she seemed genuinely shocked and remorseful about the way she had treated Trish.

paddyann Tue 11-Apr-17 22:57:57

I like that the origianl characters are still involved,it shows the effects of a loss on a family and you dont usually see that in crime series ,they end with the verdict ,I was glad he didn't drown too ,it would be good if they could have if not a happy ending then some closure

BlueBelle Tue 11-Apr-17 21:44:24

Thanks for giving me the heads up on the photo notneccarilywiser

rosesarered Tue 11-Apr-17 21:35:02

David Tennant seems to get thinner with each episode.

Charleygirl Tue 11-Apr-17 21:30:13

My money is on Trisha's ex husband.

Cherrytree59 Tue 11-Apr-17 21:20:49

They may have other DNA stored since the boys murder.
Is it possible that the vicar is involved somewhere along the line with the murder.
He seems to feature a lot in the families life.
hmm

Sparklefizz Tue 11-Apr-17 10:12:33

Badenkate, yes, I loved the David Tennant meltdown at the teenagers - it was fantastic! I also felt quite touched by the women all getting together in a move of solidarity, and to see Laura Benson there too. I was also hoping to see the woman who didn't want to report her rape mingling with the others, but no ...... Can't wait for next week. I suspect Trish had 2 rapists, and it was filmed for one of the cabbie's porn movies.

Welshwife Tue 11-Apr-17 09:59:02

David Tennant character said that the DNA on the sock which was used to gag Trish and had her saliva was that of one if the four suspects - that narrows it down a bit.

shysal Tue 11-Apr-17 09:22:05

Merlot, you say it will be the one we least suspect, who do you think it will be? The vicar? The house owner? I am looking forward to the twist which is bound to come next week.

I think I read that this is the last series.

TerriBull Tue 11-Apr-17 08:55:54

I don't know whether anyone else thinks it's a mistake to keep on with the Mark and Beth tragedy from series one, which of course was excellent. It slightly detracts from this storyline. Having said that I like the actor and actress who play Mark and Beth. I'm really hoping this won't be the last one, David Tennant and Olivia Coleman make such a good pairing and I love all those shots of West Bay (Broadchurch) which we were lucky enough to find when we were down in Dorset a whle back.

MawBroon Tue 11-Apr-17 08:48:12

phoenix I noticed that too and thought it in poor taste hmm in the light of what the newspaper editor said about "sidebar" advertising.
