tanith Wed 29-Mar-17 22:42:32

I do think that Heinrich has the measure of him already wink

Karanlouise Wed 29-Mar-17 20:47:28

I agree atqui it's good to highlight the issues that men may face in abusive relationships but i so want Dom to walk and never come back. I would also like Issac to be revealed for the horrible controling bully that he is. Hopefully next week. smile

Atqui Wed 29-Mar-17 19:04:18

When is someone going to persuade Dom to leave that odious creep. I suppose it's quite a good story line to show that men can find it difficult to get out of abusive relationships as well as women.

Giving up,watching Holly and Casuality about a year ago.

BlueBelle Sun 19-Mar-17 06:14:25

This is getting worse and worse both of the programmes are becoming so much more like fantasy The stupidity of Robin and the manic David last night as she gave birth on a gravestone was so daft it was almost slapstick

Give me 24 hours in A and E, Hospital or GPs behind closed doors any time If there was anything else much on on Sat and Tuesday nights I wouldn't bother any more
I think they ve both had their day it's sad as they used to be good hospital dramas but they ve gone so far from the truth that I think they give nursing and hospitals a really bad name

As for Dom his face really makes me want to stand him in the corner with his face to the wall those pathetic puppy dog eyes are so blooming irritating

ninathenana Wed 15-Mar-17 16:51:58

kitty wink wink

Jane10 Wed 15-Mar-17 16:48:48

I just wish Dom's nice but dim mum would come and sort out Syed Isaac!

tanith Wed 15-Mar-17 09:33:44

Isaac is the most odious man isn't he? I used to so like the character Syed that he played in Eastenders.

kittylester Wed 15-Mar-17 08:50:52

Dom is just behaving like any victim of a manipulative, controlling bulky. By this stage he can't help himself.

Rinouchka Wed 15-Mar-17 08:40:40

Me too! Losing patience with Dom. None so blind as those who will not see!

Christinefrance Wed 15-Mar-17 02:45:00

I've always liked his brooding looks and intelligence, my sort of man

Ana Tue 14-Mar-17 21:42:35

I'm actually starting to quite fancy Hanssen...I must be even more need of a life than you, Christinefrance!

Christinefrance Tue 14-Mar-17 21:39:32

Can't believe Dom is still besotted by him, he is horrible. Hansen seems to be getting more approachable lately too. Note to self - get a life ! ! smile

ninathenana Tue 14-Mar-17 21:02:15

Nooooo !
Isaac wins again sad

Karanlouise Thu 23-Feb-17 17:32:33

I think he has a certain something too christinefrance and I definitely think I need to get out more. smile

Christinefrance Thu 23-Feb-17 17:13:31

Yes I like Hansen's character and find him attractive , think with his issues though he would be difficult to live with. Beginning to think I ought to get out more smile

Karanlouise Thu 23-Feb-17 15:00:24

I agree Eloethan, it was good of the show to highlight this kind of abusive behaviour but it's time to move on soon and for Dom to meet a nice guy. smile

Eloethan Thu 23-Feb-17 13:15:03

Hanson and Dom are my favourites too. The storyline re Dom and Isaac is very clever. I hope it doesn't go on too long though - it's upsetting. (Yes, I know it isn't real but this sort of behaviour and the unhappiness it causes is real).

Karanlouise Thu 23-Feb-17 12:49:55

I still enjoy them both, but like ninathenana I often end up shouting at the TV!! Agree about Mo and Mr T but glad they got together. Love Hanson's character. ☺

Jane10 Thu 23-Feb-17 11:52:08

I agree Nina. 24 hours in A&E feels uncomfortably intrusive on vulnerable people at a bad time in their lives. I don't watch Holby for reality but because I enjoy the characters and what they get up to.

ninathenana Thu 23-Feb-17 10:51:30

great not grate gggggrrrr !

ninathenana Thu 23-Feb-17 10:50:11

Nellie I'm not naive enough to think that what goes on in Holby and Casualty is what happens in RL in fact I often shout at the TV because of that.
H and I don't enjoy watching people at their most vunerable in progs like 24hrs in A&E. It dosen't stop us having grate admiration for doctors and nurses though.

Christinefrance Thu 23-Feb-17 10:42:09

I still quite enjoy Holby but must agree that the scenes with Mo & Mr T were ridiculous . It gave the impression that highly trained consultants behave in a very irresponsible way. I like Casualty as well but both programmes now need to be taken with several grains of salt. I will continue to watch for a while longer. smile

Nelliemoser Thu 23-Feb-17 10:23:42

Oh it is truly dire, says she after watching it to knit to. (I am usually out Tuesday nights).

People, patients or staff do not behave like that in hospitals. Visitors do not wander around the wards as and when they like, staff do not usually loudly discuss patients in front of others in their beds.

Something similar happened in "Casualty" on Saturday where they brought a patient in through the general waiting room shouting out her name and her vital signs

Many of the staff in these two dramas should have been discplined or fired years ago.
"Casualty" is marginally less awful than "Holby City"
IMO it's time to go for both of these.

If you want a decent hospital drama watch 24hrs in A&E. There is real drama and a lot of compassion from the Drs and nurses and the back stories of many of the patients are very moving.

Jane10 Thu 23-Feb-17 09:34:30

What's it got to do with patients and illnesses? Its all about the staff and their relationships after all isn't it? The patients seem to be just an excuse for the staff to interact with each other!!grin
