Wasn't the best I've seen by far, maybe the last 10 mins mad sense all the rest was just plain bizarre.

I really enjoyed the crime solving first series but it just got more and more incredible after that. I have doubts I'd watch another series .

Listening to them talking about it on the radio this afternoon and they were wondering why the last episode had the lowest viewing figures for Sherlock. Think if they read threads like this they might work it out lol.
The excuse one person was giving was that it was shown on some Russian site before it went out on our tv's! No, it was rubbish!!

It was too much like Dr Who in the last few series where everything became such a struggle to understand, I just gave up watching it. I persisted until the end with Sherlock but thought it was far too overblown. I have a slight problem with the way he uses drugs nearly to self destruction and then just bounces back. I'm afraid I've seen too many addicts to feel comfortable with that and I think it gives a very unrealistic view of a genuine problem.

I've never liked Sherlock but gave the first episode of the new series a go. I watched for about 15 minutes and gave up.

Another one here who thinks this present series is rubbish.....too clever clever by half.

I watched it yesterday. I couldn't be bothered with it as the storyline was ludicrous. I used to love this programme but it has lost the magic. Such a shame.

Just watched it on i player. What a pile of crap self indulgent nonsense. I'm surprised those actors agreed to be associated with it. If they make another series the new writers should go back to solving real problems rather than this sort of thing.

Totally confused here too, but did think that the stitch, and row counting while knitting, caused some of that. I did enjoy seeing Benedict Cumberbatch's real mum in the last couple of scenes, playing Mrs Sherlock snr.

We turned over after half an hour. It was totally ridiculous. More like James Bond than Sherlock (I can't stand JB).

GrannyA11i Mon 16-Jan-17 12:33:46

I loved it! My OH was confused though at certain points and he isn't normally not able to follow stuff. I must have a mind that's wired to like/understand weird!!! ???

POGS Mon 16-Jan-17 12:29:32

Flipping heck I had to really concentrate on what was going on.

Not sure if I liked it or not to be honest. I went from confused to understands back to confused and 'I think' finally understood.

I couldn't answer questions on it though. grin

I came close to turning over to MOTD2, just too far-fetched.
Time it was put out to grass or a new writer takes over.

I loved last weeks Sherlock which I have just watched on Saturday resulting in a very pleasant dream about Mr Cumberbatch as Sherlock - very nice and not naughty!!! I did have to have to goes at watching the programme and concentrate hard and not go to sleep the same with Taboo which I love now.

SusieB50 Mon 16-Jan-17 08:52:53

Gave up with Endeavour too - rubbish .

Badenkate Mon 16-Jan-17 08:43:42

Last night's was indulgent writing, but the week before was brilliant. However I still didn't look at my watch, which is becoming my yardstick of rating TV programmes. Others that I don't clockwatch in are Taboo, Forgotten, No Offence. Unfortunately not too many more.

jusnoneed Mon 16-Jan-17 08:34:25

I gave up after the first of the series, too weird and hard to follow.
Been watching Endeavour instead.

Glad I am not alone in thinking Sherlock surreal. I was very bored and read my book while it was on.

Greyduster Mon 16-Jan-17 08:25:01

I was totally bored with it last night, and I'm glad it's finished. It was irritating beyond measure.

petra Mon 16-Jan-17 08:23:07

Read the Daily Mail critique on this programme: absolutely scathing.

ninathenana Mon 16-Jan-17 00:45:31

What anno said

annodomini Sun 15-Jan-17 23:01:50

I watched it tonight and wish I hadn't bothered. Surreal is all very well, but this was so incoherent that I couldn't put the pieces together. Conan Doyle must be spinning in his grave!

tanith Sun 15-Jan-17 22:31:34

I tried watching last weeks episode and I thought the same thing then, I shan't bother with it again.

phoenix Sun 15-Jan-17 22:06:01

Is it me, am I being really thick?

Can anyone make any sense whatsoever of tonight's episode? I could make a list of "how did he/she get hold of/manage to do that, why did/didnt he/she/they " ?? etc.

Confused and befuddled of Devon
