Are you 60 going on 20? Do you go the extra mile to stay looking your best? We'd love to hear from you for a new Channel 5 documentary series. Please email [email protected] for more information.

Thank you!

Obviously not many !!!grin

Ana Tue 17-Jan-17 10:37:04

Well, we don't know how many have e-mailed, do we?

annsixty Tue 17-Jan-17 10:37:27

We are all far too modest.

pensionpat Tue 17-Jan-17 10:39:47

I would nt watch it. Looks are irrelevant. Says she who has never been glamorous!

Teetime Tue 17-Jan-17 10:40:33

Yes to the first 2 questions definitely no to the third one - can you imagine!!!

Good point Ana !!

60 going on 20 ? Does this mean they are looking for mutton dressed as lamb?

Riverwalk Tue 17-Jan-17 11:48:22

My thoughts too roses.

I cringe at articles about 'age-defying' grans - all animal prints, bad hair extensions, and sun-damaged droopy bosoms.

Lovely to see an outbreak of consensus on gransnet |Although, Ana is right to say we don't know how many of us may be responded more positively by email. Not me!

Glamorous, hang on, I'll just go check the dictionary.....

Nope it dosen't apply to me.

paddyann Tue 17-Jan-17 15:36:07

Riverwalk ,thats not a definition of "glamourous" well dressed well presented ,NOT defined by age ,I have never been the best looking woman on the street or even in the house ,my late mother always told me my sister was "the beautiful one" BUT I always make sure I look my best and I do still waer shortish skirts, over the knee boots etc.....well you're a long time dead ,might as well enjoy living while we can.No animal prints ,hair extensions ,bad or otherwise or sun damaged skin...I've never sun bathed in my life...so no wrinkles either .A wee bit narrow minded some of these posts !

aggie Tue 17-Jan-17 15:45:20

I think I look pretty good , but that walking stick and extra three stone tell me different , I just look in the small mirror and close my eyes to the long one. confused guess I better pass !

Ana Tue 17-Jan-17 15:46:50

NO wrinkles, paddynann? Pull the other one! grin

Riverwalk Tue 17-Jan-17 15:50:30

er, I think you're missing the point in most of the posts paddyann.

The OP seems to be looking for a particular type of 'Glam Gran' as in '60 going on 20', i.e. mutton dressed as lamb.

I'm far from narrow-minded but can well imagine what Channel 5 will do with a bunch of grans proclaiming to be 'glam'.

Maybe you should respond and we'll see you on the telly!

Dont think they want me, my DM always said she couln't dress me in Hourstons(house of fraser) window, she tried to make me a doll with ribbons, silk dresses and fur coats but i am afraid i prefer wellies and fishermans jumpers( although i do add a scarf at a jaunty angle)

aggie Tue 17-Jan-17 16:40:21

I have no wrinkles due to the extra mentioned earlier wink

Mumsy Tue 17-Jan-17 17:11:28

60 going on 20!!! thats not going the extra mile!! thats mutton dressed as lamb and looking bloody ridiculous!
All us grannies are glamorous in our own way and always look our best!! we grow old gracefully. well I do try.
