I don't like Christmas films with one exception, Scrooge with Alistair Simms

I think Saving Mr Banks is on BBc over Xmas.
I am quite open to watching non-seasonal films smile

To get me in the Christmas mood I always watch Miracle on 34th Street, White Christmas, Holiday Inn, Scrooge (with Albert Finney) and Scrooged (which is an updated very funny version of Scrooge with Bill Murray).

Someone recommended Saving Mr Banks to me and I really didn't fancy it but it was very good indeed.
I also enjoyed The BFG smile

As usual Christmas TV is not very alluring - just when we have more time to put our feet up and watch something. I'd be interested in recommendations for films or "box sets" that others have enjoyed.
To start the ball rolling I recently watched the film Learning to Drive with Ben Kingsley, Loved it. Nice to see a sensitive film about middle aged people.
And some "if you missed it" series
Grace and Frankie (comedy about love after 70)
Orange is the New Black (best ever women's prison drama - brilliant acting)
House of Cards (dark political drama with Spacey)
The Bridge (Nordic cops, interesting heroine)
