I think some of those scan photos belonged to Alice/Sophie.

Yes, because I'm knitting while I watch it, DH is on red alert to call out any date or location change grin

The wife and girlfriend must have met when the girlfriend was investigating the case though, and she was heavily pregnant then? Wasn't the girlfriend the one that told the Walkers that (fake) Alice had been found? Maybe not though, a lot's happened since I thought/dreamt I saw that scene.

One thing. There were an awful lot of scan photos in that drawer for just one pregnancy.

theres far too much jumping back and forth! it doesnt help when you miss the text on the screen saying where and when!

I love it, took me a while to get used to all the time differences. I agree BlueBelle the wife and girlfriend are alike but that happens in real life often. It does make it difficult to keep track though.
Looking forward to the denouement, do hope it's not one of those endings which leave you up in the air.

.....and I think he was involved with the butchers wife.

I don't think the dad has got dementia either. I think he is using it as a cover up for his involvement in the abduction.

The girlfriend lost the baby though didn't she? Did the wife ever see the pregnant girlfriend?

Not sure where that last of came from!

Yes, we were saying that the DNA test would surely have been taken to link the daughter and mother, not the father, so there must be some significance. But the two known missing girls were from different countries and not knowingly connected to each other before the abductions - perhaps the body was that of the third girl, fathered by the father (if you see what I mean).

It's so convoluted and unlikely that we were considering giving up on it last week. I thought the last episode was better though ( or perhaps I'm just getting used to the craziness grin).

Does anyone know why the wife asked the girlfriend why she had not had a family, as if she knew nothing about her pregnancy? Surely she'd have been aware of it at the time of?

I love it BlueBelle but the plot is very complicated. The only way I can follow the jumping backwards and forwards is to look for SAMs scar and the mothers hairstyle. At the end of the last episode I was truly baffled to see Alice (or Sophie as I'm still not convinced who is who) appear in the cafe in Switzerland . What did you make of that?
I also took note that the DNA test was only taken between the dead girl and the father. This could mean that he fathered both girls. I don't know. I expect all will be revealed in due course. confused

If you are watching Missing what do you think of it . it's complicated isn't it? stories within stories and changing countries and changing years I m really having to keep on my toes to follow it I am enjoying it though One criticism is I wish the wife and girlfriend looked less alike I have to keep translate which is which it is getting better now I m more familiar with the story line but the first couple of episodes foxed me
