If you are watching Missing what do you think of it . it's complicated isn't it? stories within stories and changing countries and changing years I m really having to keep on my toes to follow it I am enjoying it though One criticism is I wish the wife and girlfriend looked less alike I have to keep translate which is which it is getting better now I m more familiar with the story line but the first couple of episodes foxed me

As soon as the brigadier mentioned a third man involved in the murder in Iraq, I suspected it might be the press officer or it had to be Sam, as there wasn't anyone else. I think the press officer killed Henry Reed as well. There were a few too many time jumps for me in last night's episode, but it becoming very engrossing. Keely Hawes goes from strength to strength. I thought the ending was horrible.

Sorry that last paragraph was for gettingonabit smile

Brilliant episode last night . I (think) I totally got it, for once. Shocked about the young policeman! Sophie is the girl in the forest in Switzerland and the little girl in the house is her daughter. yes? hmm

I always suspected that horrible army brigadier or whatever he is . He gave it away in the first episode . Sam has obviously fathered a couple of children at the same time hats why the DNA came back as a match to him. Still can't understand why they didn't match the mums .

You're not the only one who has the hots for Batiste . DH driving me mad asking loads of questions and he actually thinks that Batiste with hair and batiste with shaved head are two different people. Grrrrrrrr

alima thanks! I was wondering if that was Happy Valley ex-husband too.

I'm glad the issue of the baby is solved. For now, at least. The rest of it....still struggling.

Who killed Henry Reed then?

Alima Thu 10-Nov-16 06:45:17

I only knew that because I like the actor BB. Sure he was the partner/ex husband in Frankie and the first series of Happy Valley.

BlueBelle Thu 10-Nov-16 06:41:48

Ahhh yes it's fitting in now I didn't recognise the face without the beret on I m sure as I get older I m going face blind thanks Alina I m with it now

Nana3 Thu 10-Nov-16 06:41:13

Talk about shock, it's taken a different turn now. Too horrible.

Alima Thu 10-Nov-16 06:29:12

Do you mean at the very end BB? Only seen him in army fatigues before now, think he is some sort of liaison officer. Remember it was him told the parents that the press had wind of Matthew locking his sister (?) in the shed.

BlueBelle Thu 10-Nov-16 06:19:44

Could the little girl be the baby Alice (Sophie) lost and is mummy still in the basement?
I too kept finding myself losing concentration through tiredness so need to watch again Who was the chap the policeman visited I didn't recognise him?

Alima Thu 10-Nov-16 05:39:52

I am going to have to watch last night's episode again. Trying so hard to stay awake but the last twenty minutes or so were a bit of a blur except for That ending! Never suspected the nice army chappie and that poor young policeman.

BlueBelle Thu 10-Nov-16 05:03:10

I too can see the attraction of Baptise it's the quiet, calm way he is in charge you would feel safe with him I like his accent too

BlueBelle Thu 10-Nov-16 05:00:02

Well what did you think to last night then it's getting deeper and deeper

Help - I thought I understood what was going on until I read this thread - now I'm confused

gettingonabit Sun 06-Nov-16 11:19:46

I fancy Julienblush.

trisher Sun 06-Nov-16 10:08:54

Oh I fancy Julien- it's to do with that hero thing- he will always do what is necessary in spite of any obstacles. There is another question Alice/Sophie had had a baby, she said it had died, but was that the truth?

Alima Sun 06-Nov-16 08:08:19

I think this series is brilliant. I do like Julian NTO but maybe fancy is going a wee bit too far! I find I really have to concentrate when I watch, much more satisfying than brain training games. Thank heavens for iplayer too. I fell asleep at the very end of one episode, (no reflection on the programme at all) and was able to catch up as soon as I could. This is where the BBC excels.

NotTooOld Sat 05-Nov-16 22:17:06

I love it but am mystified as to why I should fancy Julien. Does anyone else?

Really enjoying Missing! Good to have something which you really have to follow carefully. Very well acted, can't wait until next episode, no difficulty in following the plot!! Good old auntie Beeb !

Welshwife Sat 05-Nov-16 20:23:31

Well they have three more episodes to work it all out!

Luckygirl Sat 05-Nov-16 19:33:30

Yes - I assumed that the body in the shed was Alice, planted there by ?Sophie for reasons unknown.

The brigadier is definitely suspect - "Sophie" asked him how he could live with himself after what he had done.

Butcher is certainly innocent; but his wife?

Beth61 Sat 05-Nov-16 19:23:17

I was completely lost for the first two weeks but it is starting to come together. I really like Keeley Hawes; think she has a very expressive face and was brilliant in The Durrells as well.

citygranny Sat 05-Nov-16 17:07:22

gave up i'm afraid ! but will watch the last episode to try and make sense off it all.

trisher Sat 05-Nov-16 12:27:45

Spoiler Alert! Body in shed was Alice planted by whoever abducted them, he couldn't manage to keep them after Henry Reed was killed. Alice who came back was Sophie forced to cooperate to save life of 3rd girl. Story she told about Sophie was really about Alice. She then went to Switzerland. Who is the father of the Redcap's child? Could it be her own dad? Any way it's gripping and I keep changing my mind about who is involved, pretty sure it's not the butcher, but his wife might know something.

Luckygirl Sat 05-Nov-16 11:23:14

I watched the latest episode of Missing on catch-up yesterday and my brain still hurts!
