Has anyone being watching the above prog on BBC2 for the last three evenings. It is showing the journey made by the people in the mass migration to Europe. It is quite harrowing in places but also shows the tenacity required to make one of these journeys. There is one family whose 11year old daughter shows such maturity for a child of her age it is quite heartbreaking that she has been exposed to some aspects of life at such a tender age.

I've watched two of these programmes and agree that they are indeed very harrowing.
However, I don't really have the same sympathies for the migrants from The Gambia and Nigeria. They aren't facing the same dangers at all. I accept that they are suffering poverty but we should be helping them to have success in their own countries. Oh, hang on, we already spend billions in aid so where is it going?
The young man from The Gambia left because his father had died and he had to become the family breadwinner. Why not do whatever it was that his father did, that wasn't made clear. He ended up being kidnapped in Libya. I need to find the third episode.
