I do like the old radio programs like The Navy Lark, the Goons Round The Horn etc.
How many of you still like the old radio shows like Rays a laugh or Jimmy Edwards (The Glums) The Men From The Ministery etc.
If you don't know of the BBC iPLayer radio channels give it a try I down load some onto my phone to listen as I take my dog Zeus out walking the trails, I always load Desmond Carrinton's Friday show or the music night show then Sounds of the Sixtes Pick of the Pops, if the years are right (none after 78), I plug the old ear phone in my lugholes and away we go.

DH has just been telling me about that. He's loving these old shows. He can't understand how 'Round the horn' got away with it!

We often listen to it - found it by accident , heard the Goon's voices, and thought, can't be! But it was.
Yes some of the programmes are very close to the bone.
I like the Al Read series eg

Thanks for the heads up on this app. I looked on my IPad and found I had already got it! I settled down stuck in the ear plugs and shook with laughter at 'Round the Horn' I never have to complain again that there us nothing to listen to. smile

I watch BBC I Player too, I have paid £5.99 a month for Eurosport to watch the tennis, I also have the Nowtv app. My DS linked me to his Amazon Prime. What more could a girl ask for? I love all this modern technology.

What I need now is a second IPad to use whilst I am watching on IPad number 1, but even I think that is going a little too far.
