Blimey its an emotional rollercoaster this week on both Corrie and Enders! Just as well there's lots of soothing viewing at the Chelsea flower show.

Don't watch Corrie , but Eastenders is getting beyond ridiculous.

Charleygirl Thu 26-May-16 13:04:22

So is Coronation Street.

ninathenana Thu 26-May-16 13:06:38

I only watch 'enders and yes it's ridiculous but I can't stop watching grin

NotTooOld Thu 26-May-16 14:19:57

Coronation Street is truly ridiculous but if it was just the 'story' of an ordinary street no-one would want to watch it. At least, that's what I tell DH when he moans! Last night's episode was particularly weird - Tracy was kidnapped, Carla confessed, Nick went mad and so did Gail, Tyrone ruined his wife's dress and then crashed Kevin's vehicle into Gail's garage, Kathy proposed to Roy, Carla absconded, Robert left Tracy, a body was discovered under Gail's floor............and all that in half an hour. I can't wait to see what happens tonight. grin

Greenfinch Thu 26-May-16 14:27:03

You forgot Tyrone running over Kathy who was then taken off by ambulance ! grin

Alima Thu 26-May-16 15:30:23

I'm with you ninathenana! Cannot wait to see what happens when Max gets back! Nice to have a bit of veg. Telly!

Charleygirl Thu 26-May-16 15:38:27

NotTooOld I am amazed that you remembered all of that rubbish! I became so bored when all of this was going on. It was far, far too much for 30 minutes.

Jomarie Thu 26-May-16 18:55:31

I'm watching both of these (much to my OH's disgust) - I find it hilarious. In both these shows there's going to be an awful lot of people going to prison if only for "perverting the course of justice" - stiff sentences are handed out for that crime. I do wonder how the writers of both shows are going to get out of that particular problem without losing half their casts. I'm hoping (forlorn hope I know) that Carla and Robert get in a car and go off to Devon to run a restaurant and enjoy life leaving weirdo Nick and Tracy behind. grin

Well I've just watched Corrie on catchup, and I don't understand why Carla didn't get arrested. She ran Kathy over and put her in hospital. Did no one notice? confused

Sad Carla's gone though. I liked her as a character.

I would say Coronation Street has won the battle of the soaps this week. Although that little Bobby on 'Enders is a very sweet kid. Poor little boy. Feel so sorry for him.

ninathenana Fri 27-May-16 00:19:12

Aahh yes, bless Bobby's little cotton socks. Such a cute little murderer gringrin

kittylester Fri 27-May-16 06:53:54

gringrin nina! I can only cope with one soap but I love Stenders. It is complete rubbish but good veg telly as Alima says.

tanith Fri 27-May-16 08:14:20

Bobby in Stenders reminds me of Damien from the Omen series of films he even has the same floppy hair.. little devil wink

tanith Fri 27-May-16 08:14:51

I think someone should check the back of his head wink

Jane10 Fri 27-May-16 08:53:22

No Corrie tonight -football instead. Its an outrage!!

NotTooOld Fri 27-May-16 21:53:35

Greenfinch - oh, yes, I forgot that bit with all the rest that was going on. Luckily she's only got concussion and some scratches although she seems to have been put in a private room to recuperate.

Charleygirl - I know, it's total rubbish but I've been watching it from the first episode (I was in my cot at the time - must have been) so I can't stop now.

Jane10 - Coronation Street always suffers if football is on, have you noticed? The episodes have been all over the place this week.
