Saw this the other night and really enjoyed it. Meryl Streep was wonderful, Hugh Grant was better than expected but Simon Helberg, the actor playing the pianist, stole the show. I laughed so much at his performance that I was in tears. A brilliantly funny film but also quite moving and poignant. Would definitely recommend it.

Saw it today at 5.3o - only a handful of people in the cinema. Great film, very funny but also quite sad especially at the end. Brilliant acting by meryl Streep. Hugh Grant and rhe bloke who played the pianist.

I'm looking forward to this one. I've always been a big fan as my parents had several of her records and played them a lot.

I'm hoping to see it next week, it's been well reviewed, always love Meryl Streep.

Luckygirl it was hilariously bad, wasn't it.

I have just been listening to some archive recordings of the lady herself - they are fabulous in their awfulness, and cleared my chest a treat!

Juts come home from seeing this in Leicester where the city was en fete with loads of revellers singing and having fun in the sun waiting for the big parde.

Anyway the film was excellent (only 8 people in the audience at 11.10 so perfect on that score). Its a very poignant love story, beautifully filmed and acted not a dull moment - well worth seeing.
