And away we go again!

wot Fri 15-Apr-16 15:21:20

Yes, it's gone back to boring!

AyjayF Fri 15-Apr-16 14:41:52

It's odd to get back into everyday life + events in Ambridge again. Great to hear other characters like Lilian + Doctor Locke though.

Gracesgran Fri 15-Apr-16 10:59:55

Does this tell us where things are going or not?

I was fascinated by the comparison to the trial of Lindy Chamberlain shock

Gracesgran Thu 14-Apr-16 18:03:25

I don't think so Daddima - it's got to last another year remember smile

Daddima Thu 14-Apr-16 17:54:35

I shall say it again. Rob will say it was an accident, charges dropped, more control for Rob ; " You're not well, darling". Everybody thinks he is wonderful ( well, nearly everybody)
Then he moves on to, " I can have you put in jail you know, and I'll get the children"

You heard it here first!

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 14-Apr-16 13:18:30

They ought to play that at the trial. Might get her off. grin

Gracesgran Thu 14-Apr-16 12:48:35

This is the News Night interview It starts at 32.54 on the timeline. Interesting that they say the stabbing was certainly not the denouement smile

LullyDully Thu 14-Apr-16 08:13:04

Sounds impressive as a folk ballad!

Alea Wed 13-Apr-16 23:06:06

I was just about to copy this link too - absolutely brilliant!!

Nelliemoser Wed 13-Apr-16 23:05:28

Yes I enjoyed that. I had just seen it on FB before I looked at this thread. grin

Gracesgran Wed 13-Apr-16 20:05:28

It's brilliant merlotgran. I was just listening to it as it is whizzing around Facebook so I am sure Mumsnet wont mind smile - very clever!

Iam64 Wed 13-Apr-16 20:02:24

Wonderful

Love this.

Hope Mumsnet don't mind me lifting it.

Gracesgran Wed 13-Apr-16 19:24:15

erratum: I have got my Christine's and Carol's mixed up again. The barrister is, of course, Carol's daughter wink

(If you hear sounds of muttering it will be me trying to get my brain to sort them out smile )

Elrel Wed 13-Apr-16 19:16:56

Good for Emma, she knows her mother needs gagging! I guess every fictional village needs its toxic gossip!

Gracesgran Wed 13-Apr-16 19:05:56

When Jill told the solicitor and Helen someone said Christine's daughter has a reputation for dealing with women's issues Iam64. Thanks for the clarification - it's going to be interesting smile

Iam64 Wed 13-Apr-16 18:09:09

A good solicitor will prepare the brief for the barrister. The barrister reads the brief and every document in the court bundle. My experience has been that with a few exceptions, barristers are very clever (putting it simply and mildly ), work very hard and find any loopholes/problems in the case they're defending. Many will have covered most aspects of law and it is likely that a female barrister with the experience and knowledge to defend Helen will also have worked in family law before moving on to crime. Let's hope so anyway!

Gracesgran Wed 13-Apr-16 12:28:04

You would expect her to tell them what defence they are going to use AyjayF wouldn't you. I imagine the solicitors do most of the detective work - although I don't actually know so perhaps the solicitor will report back. I think it will be more spread out now as these things seem to be very time consuming.

I would have thought Jazzer could go to a tribunal - or even the police or both!

AyjayF Wed 13-Apr-16 09:47:54

Maybe the barrister can put them straight on coercive control, Gracesgran.

Gracesgran Wed 13-Apr-16 08:29:06

I had forgotten about that Elrel. I wonder if he and Kirsty will put two and two together. They really need someone to explain to the family what coercive control is.

Elrel Wed 13-Apr-16 00:50:55

Tom hasn't commented on how and why Rob quickly arranged for him to go to Canada after, in Rob's recent words, his 'car crash of a wedding'. Rob was then the only one who was in contact with him and knew where he was. Tom's family were frantic to know where and how he was.

Nelliemoser Tue 12-Apr-16 23:44:20

Ooh! I have been too busy to look at the thoughts on here recently. I must catch up when I have time, it's too late tonight. "Don't have nightmares"

Gracesgran Tue 12-Apr-16 23:09:11

live on BBC The Archers Facebook on Thursday 14 April.
