And away we go again!

Gracesgran Tue 21-Jun-16 20:40:08

I think you could be right about the subsidence but perhaps they will ask Clarrie, Eddie and Joe to move out to Number 1 The Green - you would wouldn't you - while Edward and Emma stay to look after it while the work is being done.

merlotgran Tue 21-Jun-16 20:38:36

Did Phoebe previously have her own room or did she share with Abbie?

No problem sprouting another bedroom though. It happened overnight at BHC.

Gracesgran Tue 21-Jun-16 20:34:43

I was waiting to hear him say he would sleep on the sofa merlot. Perhaps there are three bedroomsconfused

Kate really is appalling. Sadly she reminds me of someone I used to know (note usedsmile)

merlotgran Tue 21-Jun-16 20:25:50

Is Kirsty still living at Roy's?

merlotgran Tue 21-Jun-16 20:24:36

Caroline and Oliver won't be able to sell Grange Farm due to subsidence issues.

Don't start packing just yet, Clarrie.

Iam64 Tue 21-Jun-16 20:13:22

Or a bit of a re-alignment of her Chakras Phoenix.
She's a total nightmare and it isn't helped by the fact she reminds me so much of a member of my family.

Thanks goodness Phoebe has gone home to her dad. Am I the only one who wishes Hayley would also 'come home'

phoenix Tue 21-Jun-16 19:15:44

Nice to have someone else to shout at, apart from Rob!

Form a queue here to give Kate a slap round the face with a wet fish, but bags I go first!

Gracesgran Mon 20-Jun-16 23:34:46

Tony and Pat will have to explain why they call the baby Jack while "daddy" calls him Gideon. Where do you start?

merlotgran Mon 20-Jun-16 21:28:14

I don't think Pat and Tony are going to have an easy time with Henry when he stays the night. Rob will have primed him.

Lazigirl Mon 20-Jun-16 21:22:24

Definitely looks like Joe on way out. Poor old boy, at least he should die happy in family home.
Helen is gradually getting more confident and gave quite a good interview to ?SW. She couldn't have done that couple of weeks ago before Kaz befriended her. I do think the penny has dropped that Rob has had a hold over her, but can't quite explain how. I agree Gg understanding will slowly dawn through hearing others experiences, but I am also sure scriptwriters are are not going to give us an easy ride yet!

Gracesgran Mon 20-Jun-16 20:28:08

She is getting there bit by bit, isn't she Merlot. She still can't understand how she could be manipulated; how he "got into her head". I can't see how she can before the children's hearing but perhaps, when she is "working" she will overhear someone or talk to someone and that will click for her. If someone describes something she doesn't think should happen to them she may realise it shouldn't have happened to her either. I can't think how else she is going to get there.

I agree about Sunday Iam it could make you want to do very nasty things to "Rob". I would have thought a five year old saying things about his mummy that sounded so adult could/should give rise to suspicion. "Mummy won't let us see Gideon." "Mummy broke her promise to take me on the train." *Mummy is mean." Even if they just gave him more time with Pat and Tony it would help. I'm sure Rob will say he wants them both all the time and I don't think the SWs will let us off the hook yet.

merlotgran Mon 20-Jun-16 19:48:42

Will the new haircut be the start of a more assertive and confident Helen?

Will Rob get to see it on the video link?

shock

Iam64 Mon 20-Jun-16 19:12:18

I caught up with Sunday night's episode today - what a horror Rob is, manipulating Henry's mind. I hope who ever talks to him about what happened, relationships etc is bright enough to work out the child has been brain washed. It is emotional abuse and makes me so angry (yes, I must remind myself its not RL)

merlotgran Sat 18-Jun-16 16:05:44

I think Ian is a fairweather friend though. He sent Helen flowers when she had the baby but he was horrible to her when she was trying to maintain their friendship. As a Rob hater he must have known what a difficult position she was in (even if he knew nothing of the abuse)

Has he levelled with Adam over his knowledge of the NYE kiss and Rob's attempts to derail their wedding?

And why has he completely abandoned Henry? He obviously doesn't want to go to BHC but as his godfather he could arrange with Pat and Tony to see Henry at Bridge Farm and make a fuss of him?

AyjayF Sat 18-Jun-16 15:40:37

Glad that Alice,Phoebe + Kate have resurfaced but longing to hear more from the fabulous Ian. He must have plenty to say about everything.

LullyDully Sat 18-Jun-16 13:14:27

I also done understand why Pat wasn't told she would loose her visiting rights if she spoke to the Police. It all seemed so crass that she wasn't warned a out this. How can she appear in court against her daughter? Most odd.

LullyDully Sat 18-Jun-16 13:06:37

I feel.very sorry for poor Clarrie. Fancy putting up with Eddy and Jo.

Shocking to treat Caroline's house so badly. Reminds me of when we lent our flat to my great niece. We had to take it off the market for a month before selling it. It was spotless when we left it. Hard to forgive. I felt sorry for Caroline..

HannahLoisLuke Sat 18-Jun-16 08:42:09

I'm fed up with the way Joe and Eddie behave. They're a couple of chancers, barely housetrained and always taking advantage of other people. To treat Grange Farm as some sort of scrap heap when the Stirlings have been so kind to them is uncivilised to say the least.
They're just tramps! Time Clarrie put her foot down for once.

Gracesgran Fri 17-Jun-16 19:49:20

Merlot, don't. They are retired so they could move. Mind you if everything eventually comes out about Rod it would be quite and uncomfortable place for them to be.

Phoenix, Joe (the character) is 94 - 95 in September; the actor who plays him is 85 so you may be on to something - he may want to retire and with Joe's age it is possible. If the actor wants to retire I don't think they would replace him with a new onesmile

Lazigirl Fri 17-Jun-16 19:36:58

Definitely Phoenix. Poor ol Joe!

merlotgran Fri 17-Jun-16 19:32:39

Who will buy Grange Farm, I wonder?

Bruce Titchener? shock

phoenix Fri 17-Jun-16 19:20:12

So, the Grundy's have 3 months notice at Grange Farm, but they were hoping that Joe would see out his days there hmm Anyone see a plot line in the making here?

Failing that, they could just wait until he falls asleep in his chair (preferably outside) and then shoot him!

Gracesgran Fri 17-Jun-16 18:41:21

Merlot you seem to take everything very personally. I was not disagreeing with you as a person I was disagreeing with your opinion of how Tony is behaving. No one is right; no one is wrong, it is just a point of view - mine is different to yours that's all.

phoenix Fri 17-Jun-16 18:37:33

I think I might be getting ever so slightly pissed off miffed/cross.?

merlotgran Fri 17-Jun-16 18:19:25

Surely, if we have learned anything over the last couple of days we have learned that is OK and people do not need to get angry because someone doesn't agree with their opinion.

eh?

Your second paragraph doesn't make much sense either but never mind. You did say, a few pages ago, you were going to try to ignore me. Well, please try harder because hopefully I'll then be able to carry on posting without having my every word pounced on and analysed. You don't seem to have anyone else in your sights.

This is, after all, a light hearted thread (or have I got that wrong?) about a radio soap.
