..Vincent's mum has got a very large 'front'', hasn't she?

I've never seen anything like it.

I do like Masood. Its a shame Zainab left. She was a great character.

kittylester Tue 06-Sept-16 10:11:14

Well, Mark and Kush keep me watching. I love Masood and Jamie. DD2, who is a Stenders fanatic and my go to person for the intricacies of the families, loves Grunt and Max confused

I think it's a case of suspended disbelief, I know how ridiculous some of the story lines are but am still hooked into it. Will be interesting to see how the Babe / Les thing pans out.

What really bothers me, is where do they all get their money from? One minute they are broke, the next they are in the "Vic" dishing out drinks all round, and then, of course there is the constant hand over of 'jobs' in the cafe, where again they spend money on coffee/ breakfast when they have a perfectly good kitchen across the road. Still watch it though!

Don't know Nina as this life happened "in America", but surely if they were trying to hide his real parentage they would have changed his surname?

ninathenana Sun 04-Sept-16 18:58:04

Good point Pittcity I hadn't picked up on that.

Were he and Michelle married when Mark was born though. Quiet often children whose parents aren't married have mum's surname.

Pittcity Sun 04-Sept-16 18:07:11

What confuses me is that they have told Mark that Michelle's husband Tim is his father but they have not given him his surname!

Margsus Sun 04-Sept-16 18:02:33

Thanks Pittcitty, I missed that bit. Even so......

Pittcity Sun 04-Sept-16 18:01:09

He said that he went to a British school Margsus

Margsus Sun 04-Sept-16 17:57:31

Can someone please explain to me why Mark Fowler, who was born in the USA and has lived there all his life, speaks with a British accent?

By the way, I DO realise it's "only pretend" !!

grin

Jane10 Sun 04-Sept-16 16:57:02

A Klingon!

Jane10 Sun 04-Sept-16 16:56:24

No nina none of them 'do it for me'. I just think Martin has grown into a fine looking young man. I don't understand Kush's apparent attraction either. He always reminds me of Klingon. Something about his furrowed brow I think.

obieone Sun 04-Sept-16 16:32:44

Jay is doing his best? Masood on a good day?

ninathenana Sun 04-Sept-16 16:24:41

Really Jane ? smile he certainly doesn't do it for me.

There's not a decent bloke among them, looks or personality wise IMHO

jinglbellsfrocks Sun 04-Sept-16 11:20:16

I've stopped watching. Too ridiculous. And boring.

Mind you, I've stopped bothering with Corrie also.

Jane10 Sun 04-Sept-16 09:20:24

Their irresistible charm has always eluded me. Martin however...

Pittcity Sun 04-Sept-16 09:18:10

Trouble is that it is the Mitchell brothers doing all the fathering. What exactly have they got going for them or am I missing something?

Christinefrance Sun 04-Sept-16 08:35:06

I agree the paternity issues are getting a bit tedious, relationships difficult to follow. The writers seem to be going for the shock factor rather than good story lines. Still keep watching though.

I think it has just been through the summer on half steam. Should pick up a bit next week with Grant back on the scene and the father of Denise's baby being revealed. Agree about the storylines with the younger ones being rather tedious. Not too long ago they seemed to use the summer to take them on holiday somewhere so the older ones got a break.

obieone Sat 03-Sept-16 21:03:08

I have missed some episodes, but anyone else finding Eastenders a snoozefest lately?
I have come back to it to find a group of new young people for instance, and they are all boring. So far at least.

Pittcity Mon 18-Jul-16 20:37:43

Tonight's episode really showcased the good actors. Gillian Taylforth was a bit unconvincing though and the ending was quite easy to predict.
Throws up a lot of possible new storylines though.

rubylady Fri 01-Jul-16 04:28:15

Yes, I thought that is what he was going to do on yesterday's programme when Pam caught him. Why does she have two names BTW, Birdie and Pam?

Is it really that shocking in today's society that a man dresses up in womens clothes? It'd be tomorrow's chip paper for a day, that's all. Live and let live.

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 30-Jun-16 10:37:28

Great idea Pittcity! grin

Sun's shining a bit here nannyls so I've no excuse. Just need to shift it. hmm
