The drama not the Islands ? Don't tell me they've replaced it with football? I have looked forward to this all week yes I know I have a dull life.

I'm not getting bored with him.

merlotgran Fri 19-Feb-16 22:33:01

I'm getting bored with it now.

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 19-Feb-16 22:31:08

Why can't they find somewhere else to show sodding sport instead of disrupting normal programmes?

Charleygirl Fri 19-Feb-16 22:31:05

I agree with Luckygirl- I seem to know what is going on now but having to wait two weeks for the finale will be too much and I will have lost the plot.

Marelli Fri 19-Feb-16 22:28:06

I fell asleep again, so I'll have to watch it on catch-up. I'll never hold the plot in my head for a fortnight confused!

Luckygirl Fri 19-Feb-16 22:22:19

Is that so? - what a pain! I will have lost the plot by then - I am having enough trouble as it is!

tinaf1 Fri 19-Feb-16 22:16:58

So once again going to have to wait two weeks before the final instalment of Shetland to make way for the rugby angry

Thursdays' Dickensian was cancelled too.

Nothing personal Alima!! Just general frustration that one of the other beeb channels cannot be used, i.e. BB3!! then everyone , well Shetland fans and sports fans would be happy!!!

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 30-Jan-16 09:54:35

Alima grin (Where has shetland gone?/Gertrude!)

Thanks for cheering us up btw. hmm wink

Charleygirl Sat 30-Jan-16 09:49:07

I think another 4 episodes

Alima Sat 30-Jan-16 08:50:23

Thought this thread was about Gertrude at first. Didn't twig, not only because I don't watch Shetland but also I have been looking forward to this particular match for days. Never get to see my club on terrestrial telly so this was a real treat for me, even though we lost. Please do not hold it against me fellow Gransnetters!
PS How long has Shetland got to run as the Six Nations starts soon.

WilmaKnickersfit Sat 30-Jan-16 02:13:17

tinaf1 so it was a 'she' was it? Yep, whispered in her soft voice! grin

Winterwatch was fantastic tonight. The fox and the eagles - amazing stuff. Roll on Easter for Springwatch. wink

Jalima Fri 29-Jan-16 23:13:31

We watched Winterwatch live instead.

We were going to record it and watch it tomorrow until we realised the flippin' football was on; DH did watch the first half or whatever then we switched over.
Quite good fun watching Michaela, Chris and Martin getting blown around!

Charleygirl Fri 29-Jan-16 21:11:52

With my memory I will not have a clue as to what has been shown previously. I also get fed up with football always being given first place- are they paid money by the sponsors to show it?

Ana Fri 29-Jan-16 21:09:06

They have to pay for it, it's live and they want to up their viewer ratings, that's why they won't put it on one of the other BBC channels.

chelseababy Fri 29-Jan-16 21:06:29

Am I the only gransnetter who likes football? (I like Shetland too!)

tinaf1 Fri 29-Jan-16 19:05:06

Wilma perhaps because she said it in her " I am going to say this really quickly and quietly so no one phones in and complains voice" grin

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 29-Jan-16 18:25:56

tinaf1 shows how much attention I pay! grin

nigglynellie Fri 29-Jan-16 18:21:53

Would make a change tinf1!! Think of it, football having to give way to regular TV!! sacrilege I guess!! We both hate football, and resent giving way ALL the time!

Alea Fri 29-Jan-16 18:18:05

Bloody ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ from me too ?

Nelliemoser Fri 29-Jan-16 18:13:53

Given Gertrude's 100mph winds perhaps its been blown off to Norway. wink

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 29-Jan-16 18:13:46

Bloody football. hmm

kittylester Fri 29-Jan-16 18:11:00

It was Gertrude!!

tinaf1 Fri 29-Jan-16 18:10:48

They did say end of last weeks program that it would be back in two weeks time WimerK wonder what would happen if programme makers announced "we are cancelling tonight's match due to viewers fed up with football" grin
