Whoops! Just noticed that we were supposed to be discussing history presenters.

It must be too early. The only history presenters I can think of now are Kenneth Clark, Simon Schama, David Starkey and Mary Beard, none of whom float my boat. Stopped watching Coast because of Neil Oliver, always seemed to be saying "look at me!". Much preferred the nice chap with the brolly although didn't regard him as crumpet!

Michael Wood still has something, if only his obvious enthusiasm for people and history. We're big fans. Thankfully, his trousers are looser now (the others must have hurt as they were sooooo tight) and he's scraggier and has a limp but never mind. There are some lovely young historians coming along but their names escape me right now...I must be getting old! Or am I becoming an antiquity? Lol!

What about Dan Snow??

Yes mollie, well remembered! Very personable and his interest in his subject shines through.

I like Michael Wood, but having watched The Story of China last night i thought he seemed to be showing his age somewhat now (and who isn't), but as thinking woman's crumpet, there are very few contenders. I can't stand Dan Snow or Neil Oliver and Mortimer Wheeler is dead!

Or Michael Scott or Alastair Sook...bit young for me to drool over but very nice anyway...

Definitely Neil Oliver.....very easy watching Not seen him on the box for a while.

I used to enjoy watching the news with Martyn Lewis but alas he doesn't do it now.
