I love 'I'm a celebrity get me out of here '! I know its feeble minded of me but I enjoy seeing the personalities emerging and I really like Ant and Dec.
Its a pleasant distraction on the dark nights.

No No No to all so called "reality" programmes (does anyone actually believe it isn't all fixed!). Although in the spirit of full disclosure I do sometimes watch the Australia version of Nothing to Declare!! tchblush, but that is more a fly on the wall type thing rather than a bunch of wannabees or neverwas prancing around.

Referring to my previous post about disliking TOWIE, MIC and GS I am reminded not to judge on first impressions. I think Vicky and Fearne seem to be such great girls in this environment and good team players! (I never heard of them previously).

I agree Jamjar, they used to show the slebs chatting round the fire but now it's all over edited.

Jane don't blame you, I stopped watching after Lady C left. Yes she went too far but I didn't take to Yvette, Tony or Duncan, awful. Worse series ever IMO.

Well that's me finished with ' Celebrity' this year. All the grown ups are out now. Lady C has spoilt it despite being TV gold. She took up so much time that we didn't have the usual chance to follow the development of various unlikely friendships. Its just flat and boring now with those left being kept in by reality tv and boyband fans. No Biggins, Foggy, Joe Pasquale characters although Tony and Duncan could have been a laugh. Thank God for Ant and Dec.

Grandma2213 The trouble is with Jeremy Kyle, once you put it on it's hard to switch off! I have to wait to see who is the father etc. So it's best not to put it on at all, although the last time I peeked, the subject was 'my boyfriend had his ears removed so he would look more like a parrot'. Who could resist? grin

I thoroughly enjoy watching'jungle' , the mix of personalities quite fascinates me. The good, bad and ugly followed by the nice, the nasty and the downright obnoxious. The human race is wonderful.

Grandma2213 Thu 19-Nov-15 01:32:14

I like 'I'm a Celebrity' too. Ant and Dec make me laugh and I think it teaches us not to judge on first impressions or preconceptions. KatyK I also admit to peeking (through my fingers) in disbelief at Jeremy Kyle and the occasional 'Celebrity Big Brother'.

However I find I cannot watch 'X Factor' or 'The Voice' not only because of the annoying celebrity judges but because of the grating screeching voices of the competitors. I do quite enjoy 'Britain's got Talent' except for the singing.

TOWIE, MIC, GS (I believe these are the correct acronyms) boring and distinctly lacking in entertainment value.

INA and Jeffrey are fabulous. Every meal is an occasion + every food shopping trip. Barefoot Contessa FAB!!

gulligranny Wed 18-Nov-15 17:37:28

I don't watch any of those prime-time reality shows although if I did this would be the one (if you see what I mean). I do think Ant & Dec are very amusing though.

My guilty pleasure is "Homes Under The Hammer", which I usually watch whilst doing my ironing. I also love "Escape to the Country", and finally my most guilty, guilty, I-can't-believe-I'm-saying-this pleasure is Ina Garten, "The Barefoot Contessa" on the Food Channel. Oh I want her house and her husband and her car and her kitchen and her friends ....

KatyK Wed 18-Nov-15 17:24:49

Not for me but I have to admit to taking the odd peek at the Jeremy Kyle show blush only because I can't believe what I am seeing or hearing.

glassortwo Wed 18-Nov-15 10:36:00

I love it lona & ana when all the airs and graces are stripped away and they show their true colours grin

Jane10 Wed 18-Nov-15 09:06:34

I think that's what's so intriguing about the programme Lona- just seeing these people as they are. Some emerge as terrific personalities others less so. Who can forget Gillian McKeith?!

Lona Wed 18-Nov-15 08:03:34

grin thanks Ana

Indinana Tue 17-Nov-15 22:39:45

Can't bear it. I'm with Grannylyn on this - I'm a Celebrity and Big Brother are two shows I avoid like the plague shock

Ana Tue 17-Nov-15 22:27:50

Oh yes, Carol Thatcher...grin

Lona Tue 17-Nov-15 22:26:37

It's very interesting to see how these so called 'celebs' behave when they forget about the cameras! Who was it that had a wee at the side of her camp bed?

Ana Tue 17-Nov-15 22:22:41

Lona and glass I've never felt the same about Nigel Havers since his stroppy hissy-fits during his stint in the jungle - what a diva! hmm

Greyduster Tue 17-Nov-15 22:20:02

Not for me, I'm afraid. I wish someone would leave Ant and Dec in the jungle, and forget which jungle!

glassortwo Tue 17-Nov-15 19:30:05

Paul Burrell was hilarious lona grin

grannylyn65 Tue 17-Nov-15 19:05:08

On a par with Big Bother, Noooooo!

bookdreamer Tue 17-Nov-15 15:32:42

I love it too.

JamJar1 Tue 17-Nov-15 14:51:05

Just started watching last night, also as a light distraction.
Lady C and Georgie were stars. Not sure about the three new people entering the camp.

nigglynellie Tue 17-Nov-15 14:47:56

OH No!!!

Lona Tue 17-Nov-15 14:44:39

I still chuckle when remembering Paul Burrell!
