Radio Reborn?

Interesting you say that - I think there is a growing re-surgance of SW radio stations. I have seen adverts for Radio MiAmigo on SW. I don't have a radio that will receive SW, but it sounds like fun (not sure how heavily regulated it is these days)
I used to present a show alongside a chap from our neighbouring village who was part of the RAF broadcasting function, can't recall where but think it was somewhere hot! He's still broadcasting for Fantasy FM in Devizes (Derek L)

I love the idea of waiting up to relay the Kremlin Bells though

Back in the 50s, in Cyprus, a bunch of us in the RAF ran a broadcast station on short-wave (41-metre band) - I remember on 30th April we would stay on the air until midnight and then relay the bells of the Kremlin from Radio Moscow for May Day! Our techie was a bit of a red...

Ah - you may be right in which case, profuse apologies, although I do think it's a subject of interest...and I expect there's lots of posts about people's hobbies (and this is not a money maker, in fact quite the opposite!).

I'm very happy to open this thread up to be "tell us of your experiences with Internet Radio" , any good stations you've found out there?

I have tuned into Mexican radio stations when we've had TexMex dinner parties, or perhaps if you're hankering after the sound of Ibiza when you've come home from largeing it up in the clubs .
Internet Radio puts the world on your browser (or SONOS etc), but do people use it, know about it, like it?
