The original one is full, having reached 1,000 posts shock, so I thought we could start again!

Crossed posts on the tone of voice there LullyDully

At last the worm is starting to turn.

Nelliemoser Fri 25-Mar-16 19:42:24

Helen's tone of voice was different from the start tonight. It's a start at last but it's still not going to be an easy ride. Rob won't like it.

LullyDully Fri 25-Mar-16 19:40:26

It's begun, but not over. Finally she has changed the tone of her voice.....good girl.

wot Fri 25-Mar-16 19:37:59

I think he's going to bash her up now.

AyjayF Fri 25-Mar-16 19:36:18

Hooray!! Talking back to Rob + ringing helpline. May not be all smooth sailing from now on but it's a start.

Nelliemoser Fri 25-Mar-16 19:18:22

Well done Helen.

Gracesgran Fri 25-Mar-16 16:50:02

I looked up the summaries for each day (I know, it's very sad) and there is quite a bit of Helen, Rob and/or Henry for the next two weeks but no much from the 7th to the 14th April so maybe we are going to get some other decent storylines going.

LullyDully Fri 25-Mar-16 16:23:51

Sorry, don't know on with where pro came from.

LullyDully Fri 25-Mar-16 16:23:06

Just going back a few weeks. Mumsnet posters were surprised that Henry wasn't old enough to fill the bath himself . Most of them have 5 year olds capable of that, who do it regularly !!! Am I just a fussy old granny?

Did anyone else noticed that the script writers have started to slip
some wicked double-entendres into the scripts? Clarrie came out with a douzie when talking to Eddie this week.
Broad Borsetshire accent ...
" Oh Eddie, thank goodness our annus horribilous is behind us now!"
I think they're doing it on purpose. ?

merlotgran Fri 25-Mar-16 13:37:07

Funny how they alter characters and their roles when a storyline shows signs of being too complicated. Rob couldn't possibly run the shop, look after Henry, charm half the village and keep Helen prisoner all on his own so they bring in Ursula to help Helen him out.

Kirsty works at Grey Gables but she's hardly ever there because she has to be at Bridge Farm to be part of the action because Helen never goes to Grey Gables these days - hence the 'helping out' in the cafe.

They truly make it up as they go along.

Luckygirl Fri 25-Mar-16 11:06:40

The real piece of nonsense in all this is that R's mother is colluding with him - 2 psychopaths with but a single aim? - I don't think so. And the last we had heard was that R did not get on with his Mum.

stayanotherday Thu 24-Mar-16 22:37:20

I hope so. It'll be interesting to see more dynamics when Bruce turns up. I can't listen to it much longer.

merlotgran Thu 24-Mar-16 22:16:57

Me too, Luckygirl I want to have a laugh at Kate and her yurts. Whatever has happened to them?

I live in hope that one day Ruairi will speak up (in a very posh voice) when he's told to stop kicking his ball against the wall.

Some wonderful characters are being shoved aside because of this storyline which has gone from harrowing to ridiculous. I'm not even shocked any more.

Please let it end next week?

Luckygirl Thu 24-Mar-16 21:54:05

I am getting fed up with this - they are just dragging it out too much.

Gracesgran Thu 24-Mar-16 21:43:42

I think he was still at the farm AyjayF - with Tony or Tom perhaps. Rob was just leaving to collect him - poor lad - at the end of the episode.

AyjayF Thu 24-Mar-16 21:17:05

Where was Henry during this high speed chase??

Gracesgran Thu 24-Mar-16 20:35:15

I'm not as brave as you merlotgran but there is no way I would have gone into the kitchen to make tea! Pat will report back when she gets home and Tom doesn't believe in the "nice, caring Rob" so conversations to be had hopefully.

I know it would take ages because they haven't heard what we have but the nerves of the nation of TA fans have been edge for such a long time - I do hope things start to unravel fairly quickly.

LullyDully Thu 24-Mar-16 20:33:17

I agree merlot. Pat has annoyed me for a while. Why hasn't she taken over and visited Helen everyday. She's retired and not milking cows everyday anymore They were always very close as mother and daughter.

I don't have daughters but my Mum always took my side and loved me. She wouldn't have let this happen. Ursula has no right to a say whatsoever.

Getting daft and I want it to stop soon. Bring back Walter Gabriel.

merlotgran Thu 24-Mar-16 20:00:53

If anyone (like Ursula) dared to criticise my daughter and grandson in the tiniest of ways - particularly someone who has set herself up as co-grandmother even though she's not related to him, I'd be handing out a knuckle sandwich, never mind the cucumber ones. grin

I suppose Pat will finally wake up and smell the organics

stayanotherday Thu 24-Mar-16 19:54:56

Yes, I know how he's isolating Helen and playing games to make Helen look mentally ill and him the good guy but I'm surprised at Pat who is normally a perceptive and intelligent lady. Pat hated Rob from the start and I'm surprised she hasn't stood by her instincts more. She keeps saying she's worried about Helen, so why doesn't she ignore Rob and be more supportive?

stayanotherday Thu 24-Mar-16 19:42:29

I understand they've done a slow build up but it's running too long now. It's become the Helen and Rob show with David and Ruth and Brian and Jennifer thrown in. Where's everybody else? Where's Alan and Usha, Kathy, Chris and Alice, Chris and Peggy, the Carters, William, Nic, Emma, Alistair, Jonny, Jazzer, Tony, Adam, Ian, Robert and Jim? Carol has had no interesting storylines, just a tag along. The Fairbrothers add nothing except for running a business.

The Archers used to be a simple and comforting series with the occasional drama thrown in to keep it interesting. Now it's too fast paced with too many established actors leaving. The new people are horrible and boring with no substance and stay outsiders.

merlotgran Thu 24-Mar-16 19:33:52

I presume Rob's father turns up tomorrow to take Ursula home?

What will it take for Pat to wake up now?

Gracesgran Thu 24-Mar-16 19:33:06
