The original one is full, having reached 1,000 posts shock, so I thought we could start again!

It's all right everyone? we can tell the police that we recorded the whole incident and can tell them what REALLY happened!

Luckygirl Sun 03-Apr-16 19:56:30

Well.....that's him got rid of then! - hooray! She will be acquitted and then it's happy families all round!

Newquay Sun 03-Apr-16 19:55:34

Blinking 'eck!
Now what? Most disturbing. . . . .

Lazigirl Sun 03-Apr-16 19:50:59

OMG ++. Hope he isn't dead for Helen's sake.....

suzied Sun 03-Apr-16 19:44:49

Terrific acting for radio. Won't be serving tuna bake in a hurry. Didn't see it coming !

Craftycat Sun 03-Apr-16 19:25:35

Yes!!!!! I still think he should have fallen in the thrashing machine though.
I doubt he is dead - I hope not- I couldn't stand the court case. Hopefully it will be the end of him anyway. What a story line.I confess I cried when he was so cruel to Henry ( ghastly child though. Did you know actress who plays Helen has never even met 'Henry' as he has to record his bits elsewhere)

Hunt Sun 03-Apr-16 19:23:55

OMG indeed!

merlotgran Sun 03-Apr-16 19:22:37

I kept thinking he was going to lurch through the door when she was on the phone to Kirsty.

I hope Henry's a credible witness.

HannahLoisLuke Sun 03-Apr-16 19:22:17

Oh Lord, what now. Is Rob actually dead though? Now for the fallout.

Nelliemoser Sun 03-Apr-16 19:21:40

Oh S**t. I didnt quite expect that.

wot Sun 03-Apr-16 19:19:29

GOSH!!! I'm speechless. Maybe he's only unconscious and will come round again like they do on horror films.

suzied Sun 03-Apr-16 19:18:56

OMG!

phoenix Sun 03-Apr-16 19:16:09

Well, that was a murder indeed!

wot Sun 03-Apr-16 19:14:21

It's a horror story.

wot Sun 03-Apr-16 19:11:25

Rob needs a good thrashing. I am verbally abused and put down but never physically threatened or had things thrown.

merlotgran Sun 03-Apr-16 18:47:23

Better make it a large one, then wink

Luckygirl Sun 03-Apr-16 18:36:15

Hint from BBC announcer that tonight's episode is not for the faint-hearted!

Newquay Sun 03-Apr-16 18:08:43

I just want Rob to get his come uppance and Helen-and her family-to get a grip and see him for what he is.

merlotgran Sun 03-Apr-16 12:04:19

Although I'm longing for an end to the DA part of the storyline I do hope the SWs don't just drop the rest of the Rob stuff.

I'd like Charlie to return and put the boot in but I'm not sure I want the Adam/Charlie/Ian triangle resurrected.

herisson Sun 03-Apr-16 11:10:16

had to drive OH to the station on friday evening and was thus forced to listen to The Archers after more than a month's holiday/strike in protest at the Rob/Helen thing. Was worried it might be like giving an alcoholic a drink, but found I could listen to Helen with detachment, perhaps because the story at last shows signs of preparing to move on. But Rob won't go quietly will he. Maybe his outing, as and when, will encourage Justin to look back over the books and bring Charlie back into the fold. But, like me, he may have moved on and found better things to do at 7 in the evening. Especially now the clocks have changed.

merlotgran Sat 02-Apr-16 23:46:27

It will be interesting to see how the scriptwriters deal with it. Helen won't have more than her salary in their joint account plus what's left of Peggy's money.

If and when it all comes out I don't think Rob's got a cat in hell's chance of getting custody of the baby but unless he does something drastic (hopefully by the end of next week or I'll give up) I suppose it might take a while to prove he's an abusive git.

Nelliemoser Sat 02-Apr-16 23:42:17

Perhaps Stefans body will turn up as the discovered murder hinted at further down this thread.
At the moment Helen is the person most at risk of harm at the moment for standing up to Rob or leaving him.

suzied Sat 02-Apr-16 23:15:38

He could try to get custody of the baby , claim Helen is an unfit mother. All Helens
money is in their joint account so he can get his hands on that.

merlotgran Sat 02-Apr-16 22:53:38

Why do you think that, Margaret?. Rob has nothing. No job, no property and as far as we know, no money of his own. He has a history of domestic abuse which can be proved if Jess testifies.

Helen will have the support of her large family once Pat and Tony see the light. She is part of a clan that owns most of the village.

A short lived marriage with no financial contribution from an abusive husband shouldn't take too long to sort out?

MargaretX Sat 02-Apr-16 22:05:29

I can easily imagine missing abuse which is taking place in another home in absolute privacy. I worked In a Women's Refuge for 25 years ( voluntary work) and became able to see signs of abusive relationships in other families. It is often the way a couple walk together. I can see controlled women in the supermarket. Sometimes it is neighbours and I wonder if the women will break out and mostly they don't. There is often no proof but there are few people going in and out of the house except near relatives - even they seldom call.
As to Rob and Helen this business with Henry will turn the tables but she is going to need a good lawyer to get of that marriage.
