The original one is full, having reached 1,000 posts shock, so I thought we could start again!

Didn't know he had hit her! What an absolutely horrible man, hope he falls off a cliff.

merlotgran Sat 12-Mar-16 16:36:20

The Archers thread is the place where it's acceptable to indulge in pure hatred grin

Welcome annoaka

Welcome annoaka. I hope you will enjoy all the other aspects of GN as well as the Archers thread! smile

annoaka Sat 12-Mar-16 15:17:04

Thank goodness now I can have a good chat about this subject instead of shouting at the poor radio

annoaka Sat 12-Mar-16 15:11:36

Rob TITCHNENER. Got it right!

annoaka Sat 12-Mar-16 15:06:30

Hiya just came on to gransnet and can't stop smiling at most of what I read. Thanks. THE Archer's? Don't get me started. Rob Kitchener & his Mum?

chloe1984 Sat 12-Mar-16 10:23:51

I found last nights episode a bit uncomfortable I felt like I was hiding in a cupboard listening to it all happening. What will happen if Rob is proved to be right by the ' professionals' and Helen really is endangering the whole family by burning the toad in the hole? Also how is Cursula able to leave her husband and son for such a length of time or is it likely that she has escaped from a secure environment. I think Helen's next step should be to contact Jess and my next step is to get a lifegrin

Iam64 Sat 12-Mar-16 09:50:49

I haven't heard last night's episode, so should not have caught up with this thread. Hitting eh!

grumppa Fri 11-Mar-16 20:35:01

I have just noticed that my maternal grandmother's half-brother married a Titchener. I disclaim all responsibility!

AyjayF Fri 11-Mar-16 20:18:51

Waiting for time Helen accidentally drops onto conversation with ( hopefully) Tom that Rob hit her. Surely the shit will hit the fan then.

merlotgran Fri 11-Mar-16 20:13:29

So Rob has finally hit Helen and as expected she is now blaming herself for driving him to it. sad

I was cheering when she finally stood up to him and finally saw him for the bastard he really is.

Short lived though.

Will a psychiatrist get to the bottom of it? Surely he/she won't be influenced by Rob?

Iam64 Fri 11-Mar-16 08:19:00

Oh dear, it's so often the caring mum who gets the outburst like that isn't it. the safe place to loose it and also, the only place Helen can exert any control. Oh dear oh dear - what next! If Pat speaks to Rob or Ursula they'll take the line that they've been subject to that kind of mood swing, that Helen isn't coping and shouldn't Henry be off to boarding school. Arrgh

AyjayF Thu 10-Mar-16 22:56:01

Bloody hell Pat. Don't let her go home!

NfkDumpling Thu 10-Mar-16 20:10:10

Ditto!

merlotgran Thu 10-Mar-16 19:32:43

Oh Pat!! angry

Elrel Thu 10-Mar-16 19:09:23

Ursula - patronising bovine! Let's have a masterclass in shirt folding?!!!
Watch out, there's a Helen about! Perhaps she'll meet a knight on a white horse!

Luckylegs9 Thu 10-Mar-16 06:48:41

Switched off the sinister Rob again yesterday. Find it impossible that with a whole village and family close by, the penny hadn't dropped. Just not enjoying this storyline one bit, it is so depressing and drawn out, get another scriptwriter please.

Nelliemoser Thu 10-Mar-16 00:14:46

I am certain Dr Locke is going to feature in the Helen/Rob story soon.
Quite a while ago there was quickly placed reference to the effect that Dr Locke had encountered Rob T before.

Elrel Wed 09-Mar-16 19:58:06

Dr Locke, please ask after Helen and show interest in her pregnancy! Get more involved with the Archers!! (Not Shula maybe.)

Where did the vicar's midwife daughter go? It's time she visited the vicarage in Ambridge I think!!

merlotgran Wed 09-Mar-16 19:35:08

The whole village is talking about what a lovely lady Ursula is so in the real world of grannies, Pat would be green with envy and determined not to be pushed aside.

Kirsty seems to have disappeared.

Iam64 Wed 09-Mar-16 19:26:04

My worry is it won't come to any sort of conclusion till Henry is 18 or so.I do wish Pat would get herself round to see Helen. I accept that Tony persuaded her Helen wouldn't welcome interference but honestly - a pregnant daughter and a mum who is already worried. I don't know any mother who wouldn't have been round there, interference or no!

shysal Wed 09-Mar-16 08:57:26

I fear we shall have to wait until well after the birth for this storyline to come to any sort of conclusion.sad

NfkDumpling Tue 08-Mar-16 23:11:11

I suppose there is a limit as to how much story can be crammed into eleven minutes each night, but it must come to a head soon! Perhaps an Easter treat?

Luckygirl Tue 08-Mar-16 22:22:07

Please don't stop caring merlot - Helen needs you! grin

The absence of Pat is becoming totally bonkers - what mother would not have been to see her DD up the road throughout her entire pregnancy?

merlotgran Tue 08-Mar-16 20:17:36

This is ridiculously long and drawn out now. If it were a book, film or TV drama you wouldn't have long to wait before the cavalry arrives.

We need a glimmer of hope otherwise I'll give up caring.
