The original one is full, having reached 1,000 posts shock, so I thought we could start again!

Ooooh! Carol's antennae are twitching....and in Fallon's tea room as well with Pat voicing her concern about Helen and Kirsty serving them.

Hurrah!!

Gracesgran Tue 15-Mar-16 18:42:16

Perhaps people feel it's the only way of challenging "Rob" LullyDully.

It does worry me about the general level of intelligence in the UK if the poor actor is getting such a tough time on line though grin

LullyDully Tue 15-Mar-16 18:23:07

How interesting that the Helen / Rob story has led to so much money to be collected for the woman's refuge charity. It is surely raising awareness and anger around domestic violence.

LullyDully Tue 15-Mar-16 17:53:16

That is a good reminder Gracegran in case anyone gets taken in by the rat.

Gracesgran Tue 15-Mar-16 17:29:06

Should just give you a language alert on this piece but it is a brilliant summary.

malcontentedmother.com/2016/03/14/rob-titchener-hate/

28 times we hated Rob Titchener a little bit more…

grumppa Tue 15-Mar-16 15:37:12

Won't the hospital contact Helen's GP, thereby bringing Dr. Locke back into the loop?

HannahLoisLuke Tue 15-Mar-16 15:36:06

Surely it's time for a chink of light in this horrible saga. WAKE UP AMBRIDGE!

AyjayF Tue 15-Mar-16 14:46:03

Who should we pin our hopes on for Helen? Henry? Doctor Locke? Kirsty? Carol?

NfkDumpling Tue 15-Mar-16 12:21:40

Probably out for the count on sleeping pills!

AyjayF Tue 15-Mar-16 11:46:50

Yes. Where was the dreaded Ursula while all the 'attack' + sleepwalking episodes were going on?

merlotgran Tue 15-Mar-16 10:07:51

I have no experience of mental health issues or appropriate medication but isn't there a risk (for Rob) that if Helen takes anti-depressants, her improved mood will help her to see things more clearly and get a grip?

Ursula's gone quiet hmm

chloe1984 Tue 15-Mar-16 10:05:32

Poor Helen ,poor Henry surely it can't be long before the SW give Pat a more proactive role in her daughters life and pregnancy. I wonder if Helen sleeptalking about a key indicates that she is going to lock Cursula and Rob in the cottage and make a break for it ?

AyjayF Tue 15-Mar-16 09:34:13

All the other characters are bringing light relief now.

Gracesgran Tue 15-Mar-16 09:12:22

The one thing I am hanging on to is that they can't kill Helen off as she is the only one who will be able to give ... whoever ... the pieces so they can work out what has happened NfkDumpling. They may be barricading her in somewhere safe though.

NfkDumpling Tue 15-Mar-16 08:39:00

It'll all come out into the open when Helen tops herself, and then oh, the angst!

AyjayF Tue 15-Mar-16 07:17:34

Good point merlotgran

Luckylegs9 Tue 15-Mar-16 06:22:31

Oh, the agony of it all. In Rob's case you can see where he gets his cruelty, these men must learn their behaviour at home. Cannot imagine how you get to change such a mind set. Tell me when it's over please.

katie1 Mon 14-Mar-16 23:36:55

I hope Dr Locke remembers where he knows Rob from....

merlotgran Mon 14-Mar-16 21:00:31

Rob only has Helen's word that she's told the psych everything he wants her to.

#atwistinthetale

ooma Mon 14-Mar-16 20:57:12

I don't know how much more we can take of this story line. Is it really possible that the Psych is just going to take it at face value, surely some careful probing would uncover the fact that she was repeating what Rob? had told her. Ugh how much more of this can we take uh

Iam64 Mon 14-Mar-16 19:42:50

apologies for posting in haste and anger (she said like the heroine of some victorian novel)
CBT has its uses, some CBT therapists are excellent. Let's hope H gets to see one who goes through exactly what happened in the lead up and after math of her row with Pat and her "attack" on Rob. Plus, explore her feelings around that - all may yet be well…..

Iam64 Mon 14-Mar-16 19:39:39

Exactly LullyDully, a timely reminder that 2 women a week are killed by their partners. They are in greatest danger when they leave, or try to leave. CBT isn't the right form of therapy for Helen! She needs to meet with a properly trained psychotherapist who will encourage her to talk in a way that encourages and enables her to be open about her past as well as current difficulties. CBT - most people get a max of 6 sessions and it's focussed on changing belief/behaviour patterns. So - I must not hit my loving husband - yep that's ok then!

LullyDully Mon 14-Mar-16 19:31:13

It is becoming more and more difficult to listen to. They say that 2 women a week are killed by their partners. He is such a liar.

phoenix Mon 14-Mar-16 19:26:35

He just said "did you tell them about Friday, how you attacked me?". Aaaarrrggghhh!

Iam64 Mon 14-Mar-16 19:25:53

I'm sure they haven't merlotgran - it's the subject of discussion on forums, in the press and on various phone in programmes for a start. The Archers is getting more publicity than it has for years, I suspect. It's also a very good story line and is terrifyingly like the lives some couples live. What's in it for Rob? Do we think he plans to eventually divorce Helen, get custody of Henry and the as yet unborn baby, have Helen forced to leave her home because she's too dangerous to be with her children and eventually inherit everything she currently either owns or stands to inherit. Or is he just a Nasty B*
