Jeremy Vine is the first celebrity to be announced - will he be the first one off?

Charleygirl Mon 07-Dec-15 12:09:44

I have not voted for anybody but if I did it would be for Anton. He looked like a child in a sweet shop yesterday evening- he was so pleased.

I think that Georgia will win. As said previously I do not like Jay and think it unfair he is marked higher because he is the only man left and they obviously want him in the finals.

ginny Mon 07-Dec-15 13:03:10

That's just the point Charleygirl exactly what many people are doing. It is the 'celebrity' that should be voted for. I think you are correct about Jay .

Ana Mon 07-Dec-15 13:07:19

All that gushing about Jay's 'toe-work' during 'Len's lens' to justify the high marks given to him was quite laughable really! And of course we had to be shown a slow-motion clip of it! tchgrin

annodomini Mon 07-Dec-15 13:08:30

To do him justice, Jay does show a more amenable side of his personality on ITT. Perhaps he is just a bit shy, despite his career in a boy band.

merlotgran Sat 12-Dec-15 20:02:17

Why no round of applause for the singer who did a superb job of 'O Mio Babbino Caro' for Anton and Katie's waltz?

Lona Sat 12-Dec-15 21:19:12

Yes, it was beautiful wasn't it?

Anniebach Sat 12-Dec-15 21:45:19

It was a very good performance , deserved applause

Charleygirl Sat 12-Dec-15 21:47:29

I fear that unless the public save them, it will be Katie and Anita in the dance off tomorrow and possibly Katie going home.

Foxyferret Sat 12-Dec-15 21:48:56

I like Jay because he is the opposite of all the girls and after all he has to lead while the girls have to follow. He is quite humble and unassuming, just calm. He is a great dancer and doesn't seem to know it. I think this is why he is overshadowed by the ladies who are much more vocal in expressing how "amazing, unbelievable, wonderful" etc etc it would be to get to the final. They are all very good but the girls do go on sometimes which puts me off them

Charleygirl Sat 12-Dec-15 21:52:37

Foxyferret Jay has had 6 years dance experience. He plays the "little boy lost look" to perfection.

Foxyferret Sat 12-Dec-15 21:55:48

Oh I didn't know he had done ballroom dancing before, I though he was just in a boy band.

numberplease Sat 12-Dec-15 23:34:51

He had 6 years dance training, at 2 separate dance academies, which is why I just can`t bring myself to vote for him, even though he is really good, he should be!
After tonight`s show, I think I`d like either Kellie or Anita to win. I love Anton, but sadly I think this will be their goodbye week, their Charleston just wasn`t fast enough or sharp enough.

ninathenana Sun 13-Dec-15 00:27:18

I think Katie will go too number I said the same as you.
I didn't like Anita' s salsa at all, I was expecting Len to complain about the lack of content.
I don't vote but if I did it would be Georgia to win.

Jane10 Sun 13-Dec-15 06:47:44

Yes Kellie has really upped her game -if possible! What a hard worker. I'd really like Anita to win or even Anton but agree with you all that I think it'll be bye bye Anton tonight. It was a great show last night.

kittylester Sun 13-Dec-15 07:00:42

I have said that I could have 20 years of dance training but have no talent at all, so still wouldn't be able to even go on Strictly never mind win. Hasn't Kellie had dance training too?

WilmaKnickersfit Sun 13-Dec-15 07:52:07

Anita is the only one with no dance training, but Jay is the only one who was training to be a dancer.

I was really worried about my favourite Georgia before the show last night because she'd been too ill to train in the week. She only managed 2 days to learn 2 dances and looked so poorly on Friday's ITT, that I wasn't sure she'd even be able to dance at all on Saturday. In the end she did a good job and was a real trouper. Her Cha Cha Cha wasn't technically great, but she pulled it off. Loved her VW though and her boyfriend staying standing was so lovely. You could see how emotional he'd gotten watching Georgia and was so proud of her. Ah romance! tchgrin

I was going to give her all my votes, but I thought Kellie and Kevin were brilliant last night and ended up voting for them for the first time this series giving them 2 of my 6 votes. And finally Kellie got a decent frock. She looked so beautiful when she danced the AS and those fan lifts! tchshock Definitely reminiscent of Fred and Ginger. Wonderful. tchwink

Jay lost a day's training too because he went to his Grandad's funeral. tchsad His Charleston was fantastic, but they messed up the drop move, otherwise it would have deserved a 10.

Anita has to be the most fearless celeb we've ever seen on the show. The way she flings herself in the hard moves Gleb gives her is so trusting that I take my hat off to her. Unfortunately I think his choreography is still far more style than substance, I mean where was the Salsa in that cheerleader routine??? tchconfused

As for Katie, oh dear. If only she could get through a routine without making a mistake and not be just off the beat so much. Both her dances could have been amazing, especially the Waltz. She struggled last night and even Anton knew they were in trouble. As for Craig giving them a 4 - ridiculous. tchangry

Gagagran Sun 13-Dec-15 09:02:01

Kellie taught dance before she got the part in Eastenders so it's not surprising that as a trained actor also she can put on a good show. But for me she just doesn't have any warmth and feeling for the dance and music.
(As for her screeching! Words fail me).

Anita reminds me of a PE teacher - very fit, very strong but another who doesn't seem to connect with the feeling and emotion of the dance. I don't think Gleb has taught her to dance but to put on a show.

Jay has played a blinder with his little boy lost act - he's a 25 year old man not a 5 year old child with curly hair and wide eyed innocence. He is excellent technically (as he should be after 6 years training) but he lacks charisma for me.

Georgia is very pretty, a lovely dancer and I'd like to see her win but I think she may lose out to Jay and his groupies in the public vote.

Katie and Anton are just lovely together and when she's good she's very good but she does make a few too many mistakes. I love Anton and am glad he has got so far this year after all the less-talented partners he has looked after so gallantly in the past. What a turn up for the book that would be if the public did make it happen and they won!

cazthebookworm Sun 13-Dec-15 14:48:41

Very well summarised Gagagran, I agree with every word you said smile)

Gagagran Sun 13-Dec-15 15:04:52

Thanks caz - pity I'm not a judge! tchgrin

merlotgran Sun 13-Dec-15 19:56:17

Anton's in the final! We cheered. tchgrin

Ana Sun 13-Dec-15 19:57:26

Poor Anita though...tchsad

Anniebach Sun 13-Dec-15 20:02:49

I am so pleased Katie and Anton reached the final but sorry for Anita she has been so good

Jane10 Sun 13-Dec-15 21:11:19

Yes-good for Anton but I'm very sorry about poor Anita. If only the great British public hadn't been voting for that sullen boy with all the dance training! Loved Kellie's American Smooth.

Lona Sun 13-Dec-15 21:17:22

I thought Katie danced better the second time, and I hated that gymnastic routine by Gleb and Anita. However, I think they deserved to go through more than Katie and Anton.
I'm voting for Georgia now.

annodomini Sun 13-Dec-15 22:05:20

The problem for Anita was that they chose the wrong dance to reprise in the DO. She was at the mercy of bad judgement by Gleb who choreographed something that was not a Salsa. Their Foxtrot was much better although Len thought it was too like an American Smooth. Katie was very careful to avoid all the mistakes she had made in her first performance of the Viennese Waltz. I'm so pleased for Anton now that he has at last broken the jinx of incompetent partners.
