Oh yes! That is a lovely one - words and tune. Here I am Lord

My favourite at the moment is "Here I am Lord " by Dan Schutte. The words really resonate with me, and I love the tune too. I'm sorry I can't post a link. I must try and learn. I am a terrible backslider, I haven't been to Church for a few years now, except for weddings and funerals. That is a lovely setting of the 23rd psalm jingle.

I like the old ones too, but that is lovely.
Do you know him, mariana?

We had a holiday in Wales once. I can remember sitting on a little hill overlooking the chapel and hearing those Welsh voices singing that. Lovely!

I had a long thread on here two or three years ago, with links to hymns on You Tube, but I don't think many of the links work anymore.

I don't know who Stuart Townend is. Will google. smile

I tend not to like 'new ones'! I know. Boring. I do love belting out some of the old favourites. Very therapeutic. Cwm Rhondda, Praise my Soul even Abide with Me. Really enjoy them. Pity I don't actually go to church though!

Since I have been going to church reularly, for about a year, i hasve been discovering how beautiful some hymns can be, especially some of the more modern hymns.
My favourite by far right now, is a new version of "~the Lords My shepherd" Psalm 23, By Stuart Townend. I have now discovered some of hos other work, and he is truly remarkable. Does anyone else know of him, or anyone else like him ??/
