Bowen the fading dandy.

I think age and high living has caught up with Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen. Was anyone else watching "The Quizeum" last night and wondering whether he had spent too long in Hospitality before the show? He looked as though he had been dragged through a hedge backwards, and his answers comments sounded as though he was too drunk to consider what rubbish he was talking - at least one was in dreadful taste. (I can't remember it exactly to quote it - Gryff Rhy Jones ignored it pointedly)

Maybe he was just not knowledgeable enough to keep up. Being a pretty boy is only a short career.

I didn't see the show last night, but I listen to his Classic FM radio show on a Sunday lunchtime, which I quite enjoy. I see that he is trying to sell his house. I've been looking at the photos of the interior. It looks like a house from his 90's show "Changing Rooms" I think he will have difficulty selling it, if he doesn't tone it down a bit!hmm

I came on here ready to get cross but discovered you weren't talking about JEREMY Bowen, on whom I have always had a strange crush but LLB! That's ok then!

I think I've seen pictures of his 'toned down' house but he seems to be finding it difficult to sell it anyway.

I think his house has already been toned down with a few 100 litres of magnolia! DD lives quite close to Siddington. |

Ooh. You have me all curious now. I'll have to watch this on iPlayer.

I watched a bit of this and thought L-B was drunk sozzled personally.

I saw him once in a pub near Siddington and was shocked at how nondescript he is, albeit wearing a velvet DH and those strange ruffled cuffs at 11.00 in the morning (we were going to a wedding in a nearby church and staying at the pub).

He clearly was strutting around and talking loudly possibly trying to impress people but most of them were youngsters who hadn't got the foggiest idea who he was.

He does seem a bit strange.

DJ not DH!

rosesarered Fri 15-May-15 13:16:52

Heehee, LoopyLou I enjoyed the thought of a velvet DH.grin

I didn't see the programme, but here's just a thought - I remember a certain radio DJ becoming dishevelled and sounding drunk, but it turned out that he had MS. Hope it's not the case for LLB.

It wouldn't have surprised me rosesarered!

Lapwing Fri 15-May-15 19:46:00

He is trying to stop recent threads being pushed out because of all of the scam posts on inactive threads, hope that makes sense.

Ana Fri 15-May-15 19:47:26
