I laughed out loud at this, seen on More4 tonight. Hope it makes you do the same.

I don't like the Money Supermarket neither, nor the Irn Bru one. I don't think they are suitable for children watching.

Saw it for the first time this evening, and completely missed the point - what's it all about? (Apart from falling off the toilet.)
I think Irn Bru tastes like licorice, I used to like it.

I don't understand the WinnerBingo ads. What's an owl and a weird man got to do with playing bingo? I guess that advert's not aimed at me.

numberplease Thu 07-May-15 17:19:29

Merlot, I agree wholeheartedly about the Moneysupermarket ad, I`d love to stick a (BIG) pin in that bloke`s backside. Another annoying character is the bloke in the WinnerBingo ads, he drives me nuts, especially when he minces off after playing the bongos!

The Irn Bru advert with the new mother telling the Dad that the baby was to be called Fanny was hilarious. Irn Bru is pretty disgusting though. Fizzy nasty chemicals! Yuk!

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 07-May-15 11:32:26

I guess the ad isn't aimed at a bunch of old nannas though.

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 07-May-15 11:31:11

Didn't make me laugh.

I hate that "you could park a bike up that bum" thing. hmm. It's mean.

Tegan Thu 07-May-15 11:11:52

I can't cope with any jokes about toilets or bodily functions eg the old ladies in Little Britain; even a one off line in League of Gentlemen still makes me feel queasy years after I heard it. Other than that I'm open to most kinds of humour.

shysal Thu 07-May-15 10:57:24

I am not too keen on slapstick unless it is clever, but love the 'I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue' humour, very schoolboy!smile

vampirequeen Thu 07-May-15 10:02:39

Oh dear the Moneysupermarket ad makes me smile too until Sharon Osborne appears.

Just because you don't find something funny when someone else does doesn't make you po faced. Humour is subjective. I love slapstick but I know a lot of people find it infantile and I adore Benny Hill (well not the race based jokes but they were of their day). However I could never stand Bernard Manning even when his jokes were deemed to be acceptable.

merlotgran Thu 07-May-15 09:44:08

Po faced? Lighten up? hmm

It's almost as ghastly as that Moneysupermarket ad.

feetlebaum Thu 07-May-15 08:17:34

@numberplease - I was about to say that IrnBru tastes like Tizer but with a syrupy sweetness.

NfkDumpling Thu 07-May-15 07:48:09

I found myself being more concerned that he was on the floor of a doNOTtouchathing British Rail train loo and hoping he washed his hands very thoroughly! I must be getting old!

Marelli Thu 07-May-15 07:43:07

I can imagine this happening, and wouldn't dream of using one of these toilets unless I was absolutely desperate! Liked your pun, anno!

Eloethan Thu 07-May-15 00:52:14

I don't think I'm po-faced - I love Billy Connolly - but I didn't find the advert at all funny.

annodomini Wed 06-May-15 23:45:11

What po-faced reactions!

numberplease Wed 06-May-15 23:43:42

Made me laugh anyway, and I love IrnBru, always have, but it must be ice cold. It has a taste all of it`s own, the same way that Tizer has.

shysal Wed 06-May-15 23:06:18

Lighten up you miserable lot! grin It was the reference to Billy Connolly's joke which tickled me!

Tegan Wed 06-May-15 22:59:57

I'd forgotten about it; not sure where I saw it..the cinema perhaps? Thought it was horrid.

merlotgran Wed 06-May-15 22:32:24

It's not funny and Billy Connolly did the 'parking your bike' joke years ago.

vampirequeen Wed 06-May-15 22:05:34

It makes me laugh. Isn't it everyone's fear on a train or in those stand alones in main streets?

Irn Bru has a taste all of it's own so I can't really describe it but I believe it's made in Scotland from girders.

Marmight Wed 06-May-15 22:02:55

I didn't find it funny either and I usually find most things amusing. it's not like ginger beer - It is indescribable and disgusting!! (IMO)

Ana Wed 06-May-15 22:02:17

I said I know what it is, not what it tastes like! hmm

NanKate Wed 06-May-15 21:40:52

Please tell me Ana is it like ginger beer ?

Ana Wed 06-May-15 21:33:55

I just don't find the advert funny. I do know what Irn Bru is! grin
