Did anyone else see this tonight?
Another very gritty comedy drama by Paul Abbott set in Manchester with a brilliant cast and some great writing. After what Paul Abbott went through as a child, I am impressed he comes up with such wonderful works, Cracker, Shameless. He attempted suicide twice. After watching this tonight and the programme about the man on the bridge, I have to get myself together and sort out this depression which likes to call at the least convenient time.
But I really enjoyed this programme and look forward to next week's episode. The main character is my kinda woman. Especially with the sprays she used, classic and very funny. I just said I hoped she hadn't got them mixed up and then she dashed off to the loo! But strong too. We have some fantastic actresses now which portray strong character (Sarah Lancashire nominated for BAFTA next week). I love it.
