Any of you been watching- on Saturday evenings? We love it, and so do our sil and bil in England- so much so that we will soon be visiting all the sets in South West Sicily. Can't wait.

South East actually, Syracuse, Ragusa and Agrigento.

Is it a repeat on telly? There was a long thread about it previously.

We watched it when it was on last year, granjura, and really enjoyed it! The area where it's set looks very old and beautiful. Montalbano himself is also quite 'lovely'!! I do like Cattarella, though (for a bit of light relief)! grin

I think that his apartment is actually a hotel so you could go there and stay - how lovely!

It's on tonight, but yes, a repeat. We have 2 nights booked in Ortigia, the small historical island off Syracuse, in an old Convent- and then a modern villa near Ragusa and Noto, true Montalbano country- then 4 days to meander via Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples, and perhaps North to Palermo or Cefalu. Very exciting.

Wow that sounds wonderful.

Really hoping the flowers will be great, and birds- which is why we chose April (we went in June last year) and to avoid the crowds too.

We have only been to Sicily once - west from Palermo on the coast and it was HOT HOT HOT 50c for a couple of days everyone was advised to stay indoors and I ran out of books. Even at night it was unbearable, but this was unusual I think.
