I remember being unsure at the end of the first series, and I am already slightly confused following tonight's episode. However, I was really looking forward to it, so I hope I shall be able to keep up. I need subtitles to help me!
What did others think of it so far?

You could be right, Ana. I think I'm going to have to watch this one again on iPlayer.

My brain hurts! - and my ears. I have probably said this before, but I find it very hard to hear what they are saying - and I do not have a problem with other programmes. It is most annoying.

I got a bit lost in the last scene in the underground car park - who the hell were they? Hardy's wife and lover??

Ana Mon 09-Feb-15 22:26:27

(Sorry - merlot)

Ana Mon 09-Feb-15 22:25:57

Wasn't she just (or additionally!) trying to find some evidence. merot?

I'm still intrigued, but could do without the other murder sub-plot. Eve whatsit and her whippet-thin lover haven't engaged me at all.

Tegan Mon 09-Feb-15 22:19:12

Can we do a sort of family tree thingy of who's sleeping with who confused?

merlotgran Mon 09-Feb-15 22:10:45

So, hang on.....The defence barrister's junior is so desperate for sex she is having a fling with the defendant's nephew (by marriage)

Really? hmm

Tegan Mon 09-Feb-15 22:07:43

Did anything actually happen tonight confused? All style and no substance..think I'll give it a miss next week sad.

rosesarered Mon 09-Feb-15 20:28:00

I did think that last week's episode was much better, so will watch it again tonight. So many red herrings to throw us off the scent, I'm not sure who has done what with who[we shall see!]

Ana Mon 09-Feb-15 20:08:06

I'm still enjoying it! Nothing much left now Last Tango in Halifax has finished...(not interested in Wolf Hall)

Tegan Mon 09-Feb-15 20:05:35

The S.O. said last night that he thought it was the last episode tonight and I was quite relieved only to find that he'd got it wrong sad.

rosequartz Mon 09-Feb-15 19:53:08

I can't stop now, it's like reading a book that you are not really enjoying, can't follow but have to finish!

Marelli Mon 09-Feb-15 19:44:27

DH just said, "Broadchurch is on tonight. I can't seem to follow it, can you?" I know this meant that he didn't want to be bothered watching it anymore. I replied that I couldn't follow it, either.....but I was going to watch it anyway. A bit like Tegan - just to get it out of the way confused!

Tegan Mon 09-Feb-15 19:20:04

I know I can watch it on catchup but I'm now beginning to need to watch it when it's on just to 'get it out of the way'. sad

And everyone seems to have slept with everyone else-unless they are married of course!

mrshat Tue 27-Jan-15 18:05:38

I'm enjoying it - but it needs lots of concentration grin

Ana Tue 27-Jan-15 12:58:24

And what's Pauline Quirke playing at? confused

She's dying, Alec's suffering from some mysterious but serious illness and Charlotte Rampling's eyesight's going peculiar - will all or any of them survive to the end of the series?

Tegan Tue 27-Jan-15 12:54:01

So they've been accused of having an affair and they then go away for the weekend and share a bed confused. That childminder might as well adopt the baby. Having said that, it's getting so bad it's getting good [if that makes sense].

grumppa Tue 27-Jan-15 12:34:16

Having given us TV's worst cop, Broadchurch is now giving us TV's worst barristers, and all to rescue a sinking plot.

Pittcity Tue 27-Jan-15 11:48:02

My mind wandered during last night's episode so I may have to skip through it again later so it becomes a bit clearer than mud confused

Mishap Tue 27-Jan-15 10:17:57

I like it!

merlotgran Tue 27-Jan-15 10:04:57

Too many comings and goings. Too many characters to try and keep up with.

I'm not really interested in the Sandbrook story.

confused

Anya Fri 23-Jan-15 23:32:44

D.I.Hardy must the the worst policeman on TV.

rosesarered Fri 23-Jan-15 23:03:28

It's turned into the most awful rubbish, sadly, and I won't be watching any more episodes.Great shame, as the original Broadchurch was so good.

gillybob Fri 23-Jan-15 10:16:04

I know the plot has more holes in it than a string vest, but it is pretend you know. It isn't real.

trisher Fri 23-Jan-15 09:45:21

Just read Gaby Roslyn in yesterday's Metro saying BC is one of her favourite programmes, how well written it is and people should stop knocking it because of muttering! What is she watching? Can't be the same programme! Although I suppose you could say it is well written because you have to keep watching to see what incredible thing happens next!
