Just seen John Lewis's Christmas ad. I'm not sure about it. What do others think? You can see it on You Tube. X

Oh, I think so . I imagine they would all muck in and cook a meal whilst she relaxed and had a sleep.

The McVities ads. are very weird, don't think I like them.

the Boots ad

I'm not sure about that one. Would she really have been delighted to see that lot waiting for her when she got home from a night shift? Hmm...

So weird!

I love the inclusivity of the ginger haired child. hmm

Has anyone mentioned the 'Boots' Christmas ad. ? I think it is the best one. The true meaning of Christmas surely. Giving your time , effort and thought to make someone else happy.

I don't know about sweet Jingl he is looking at penguin porn on the laptop after all! grin

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 21-Nov-14 13:49:50

I've just watched it again. It is so sweet. smile

What's that phrase, imitation is the greatest form of flattery - is that it!, plus of course, no such thing as bad publicity

Have checked with my information source and JL management appreciate the humour. I suspect the parody will do them far more good than harm.

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 21-Nov-14 09:42:00

That's true. It's not as though the video is nasty.

annodomini Fri 21-Nov-14 09:33:45

grin I doubt if they'd make themselves look foolish by suing!

Iam64 Fri 21-Nov-14 08:19:56

John Lewis will no doubt be delighted, even more publicity grin

That's so funny! He actually dived into the water in that costume too, very impressive.grin

Possibly if JL don't have a GSOH. But it will be all round the internet by now!

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 20-Nov-14 19:22:48

That is so good! grin

Won't they get sued though?!

J52 Thu 20-Nov-14 17:45:59

....except for penguins blush....[it seems]

Ana Sat 15-Nov-14 21:58:59

Ooh! They lied then - they said they'd be getting more penguins in asap. Perhaps that was just to thwart the opportunists trying to sell theirs on e-bay for £500! hmm

Tegan Sat 15-Nov-14 21:18:26

When JL Christmas stock has gone it's gone; they don't restock [we were told that when we went to get a Christmas tree]. If anyone needs a penguin you can have one of mine; if I have a spare hour or so I'll count how many I have. If I can sort out my technophobia I'll take a group photo and put it up here grin....

rosequartz Sat 15-Nov-14 21:03:10

If they've sold out of penguins there is no point in going into JL!
Except to take back the top I bought and didn't like when I tried it on at home.

Ana Sat 15-Nov-14 20:06:02

And not half as good as The Journey...
