Nor for me either, Soutra.

I have heard that it is a really good film, but to my shame (?) I hated the book (sorry GN, ungrateful person not appreciating free gift) and didn't persevere to the end - so I suspect the film is not for me wither sad

DD and I have both read the book. Glad to know we won't be disappointed by the film.

I'm going on Tuesday. I loved the book - I am fascinated by narcissists and how they operate- I have known one or two and I'm still trying to understand them.

maggie that made me grin and reminded me of when we went to see Amateur Transplants once. (They are two medics who sing very rude songs, google the London Underground Song)
Anyway as they opened the show, Adam Kay said 'If anyone's come with their Mum and Dad, you might want to move to the opposite side of the room.' smile

I really enjoyed the book too, will look forward to seeing the film.

It's an excellent film - I went with my DH and DD1 on Thursday. We all really enjoyed it, but as DD1 said on facebook - "Lots of sex scenes.#satbetweenparents #awkward"!

It was very true to the book, which is important to me, and it kept DH awake throughout, which is a recommendation in itself grin. He hadn't read the book and we womenfolk had, so I think it would appeal to anyone who likes a good thriller.

Brilliant film (whether you've read the book or not). I had read the book and was worried I might be bored in the film, but the film (I think) is almost better then the book. The author wrote screenplay, maybe that's why.

Rosemund Pike is a revelation, and I do like Ben Affleck. It has some pretty violent scenes, be warned.
