Thanks for the link rosequartz. I live just a few miles from the zoo and enjoyed seeing the photos. Unfortunately I missed the first programme so will have to catch up. A programme to watch with the grandchildren possibly (and then take them to the zoo).

A nice little programme to watch in the evening, I read somewhere that it should be Sunday evening viewing, and I am a bit inclined to agree with that. Enjoying it, a little bit of whimsy does us all good at times, I think.

I think it is based on a book by the little girl, June, written when she was grown up.

Here is something about it:

Lovely feelgood TV. Wonder how near the truth it is?

I like it. Very worrying about the bear! shock

I've only watched the first episode, but I do agree that the little girl is a wonderful actress - so natural.

I've just caught up with this on iPlayer. What a delightful series and so well acted. It has all the feelgood ingredients of Sunday night drama complete with a 'Boo Hiss' vicar and some posh totty!

The little girl who plays June is an absolute star and those penguins really stole the show.

Love it.
