Boomers women-Boo!!!

I helped deliver one of my DGSs and totally delivered DGD2 and the experience is amazing,DD was very quick with both of them and midwife had just popped to see others patients at the time,when DS1s partner had DGD1 she insisted only DS1 was with her and we all respected her wishes,her mum was out of the Country at the time and she decided if her mum wasn't there no one only DS1 would be present.
I don't think the programme portrays the way we ladies deal with things very well,as I can drive better than most men I know give me the keys and I will drive any vehicle and park on a postage stamp but I think that is due to all the mileage I did when in full time employment.

Some women are like that though!

I can park the car perfectly but I am an absolute techophobe.

I wouldn't like a husband who drinks - mainly because I can't stand the smell of alcohol and if the smell was on his breath, I'd have to insist he ate a ton of mints or parsley before he spoke too close - let alone any kissing!

I also held my first GD when she was about 15 minutes old and still in the delivery room - my daughter looked so proud; it's a memory I will cherish.

I cant park.....

DD's MiL got to hold her son before she did. DD was still coming round from c-section.
Firstly I wouldn't have been at the hospital anyway even if I could (DGS born in Germany) and even though it was my daughter, I wouldn't have done that to her. DD had asked ex SiL not to let her but he did. Another case of his thoughtlessness and lack of consideration.

I watched it [and have recorded the series] because I like all the people in it.All good actors.Yes, it's a bit OTT but still found it amusing. All new series need a bit of time to settle in.I'm not great at parking ,myself, but I accept that some would find this trait a stereotype,

Aprillass, welcome! Haven't seen you here before.
I thought the programme wasn't too bad, really. I do know women who would insist on being there when a baby is due to be born and consider it their right. In fact I was so miffed when this happened when my own DD had her own baby (MiL got there first, dragging along family friends, while I waited a wee while, thinking I was giving DD time to get her breath back a bit)!
I have to admit I'm not that great at backing into a parking space if I've got another driver up my backside, hustling me along.
Also, I'm not that keen on my DH drinking, either - especially before I start - because he can't hold his drink as well as I do, and tends to spoil my fun because I've got to keep an eye on him

Still very new to posting. Agree it wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be but hopefully it will improve -DH and I thought we would give it a few more weeks to see if the characters become more engaging. [Confused]
