Top Of The Pops...your Memories

I can remember Watching Top Of The Pops in the Mid 1970s
But I wish I was able to Have Watched it During What I can't help believing were it's golden years...the 1960s.
Sadly from what I have seen there are not many recordings of totps in the 60s left in the archives?
I would Like To Have Seen Bands Like The Who During the late 60s on it.
And hendrix etc.
I absolutely Love the theme music for Top of the pops from 1970
it's so exciting!
And the kind of music I like to play along with on my drum kit at home.
I wish also there were more recordings of the shows during 1970 which is another year That I think was outstanding.
I think that by the 1980s top of the pops had lost its appeal and I stopped watching it.
I think it was one of the best music programs made by the BBC
and Its a Pity it's no longer around.
