It was so different that I didn't recognised the song until it was almost over!

Think James Smith chose the wrong song or at least the wrong rendition of a good song.

Knows, sorry

James Smith seems a lovely lad, but his singing isn`t my cup of tea at all. As for Lettice, she certainly knos her way round a violin, but would drive me crackers if I had to listen to her talking for very long! And what was the point of her "singing"?

Ana Sun 08-Jun-14 19:45:25

'rendition'

Ana Sun 08-Jun-14 19:45:09

I didn't like James Smith's redition of 'Try a Little Tenderness' at all, and the two boy rappers did nothing for me either. Perhaps I'm getting too old for this sort of show - it does seem to be getting noisier and noisier...hmm

I liked most of them, including Lettice Rowbotham on her violin. She was vivacious, but would probably get on my nerves after a while if she is like it in real life.
I would not have complained if any of them had won.

The runner up usually becomes more successful than the winner. I hope Lucy Kay gets some good classical training because she has an amazing voice.

I was out last night, so couldn`t vote, but was thrilled that Collabro won, although Lucy Kay was fantastic as well, what an ambitious choice of song! Along with Darcy Oake, they were my top three, was shocked that he was fifth. I`m afraid that Bars and Melody didn`t really do anything for me, but liked Jon Clegg the impressionist very much.

I was catching up on Happy Valley last night. I have watched 3 episodes now. It's very good.

Charleygirl Sun 08-Jun-14 15:16:46

I agree, they were worthy winners but there were a few others who were also good. I thought that the illusionist, Lucy the opera singer, Jackpack and James Smith were also in the running for the title.

But not many other people would feetle sunshine

So what is B G T?

Oh, don't bother - talent contest? Who needs it...

They should hire some professionals and put on a show. No stupid competition, with voting and all that nonsense - just a proper variety bill.
I would watch that.

ninathenana Sun 08-Jun-14 14:03:40

grin shows how popular unpopular the show was from the lack of response.

I watched it and really enjoyed it. What a great variety show. Callabro were worthy winners, but several of the other acts were very good too.
My personal favorite was the two boys Bars and Melody, also Jack Pack.
The illusionist was brilliant too, and also James Smith.

ninathenana Sun 08-Jun-14 07:24:43

I was very pleased with the result as Callabro were one of my favorites. I've not been an avid watcher but did see the final.
Did you watch at all, who was your favorite?
