Sorry if I am going over old ground so to speak.

We have just finished watching Breaking Bad, Series 1, episode 4 from the box set.

We are a bit bored with it to be honest, we thought it was going to be brilliant, based on all of the awards and reviews we have seen.

Has anybody watched Breaking Bad and are up to date with it?? Is it worth carrying on and buying the following series??? Or have you found it a bit of a let down too.

I watched the whole of series one and didn't dare borrow Series 2 as I wasn't getting any work done. Have now got Series 2 but haven't started it yet. I might start on Series 2 next week; if I do I'll let you know if I'm as addicted to it as I was the first one.

Making drugs, basically, I think. I have just been given the first series and have only watched episode 1 so far. It completely hooked me, - camper van hurtling through the dessert driven by man wearing a gas mask.

Chemistry teacher is diagnosed with terminal cancer and wants to make a lot of money quickly to leave his family provided for- he teams up with a young druggie fellow to work together. ... And then the story progresses.

I've been thinking of getting the boxset. Still wading through Game of Thrones though. hmm

I do agree POGS, one of my sons thinks that it is the finest thing that has ever been made for tv, he and some of his pals had a "Breaking Bad" aftermath party once the final episode had been screened. He bought us the first couple of series for Christmas, my husband has stuck with it, but I don't get the adulation, it's not really my cup of tea to be honest. My son has now moved on to House of Cards as the second most brilliant series after BB!

I'm one series behind my SIL with Breaking Bad but he maintains that The Wire is the best series ever [haven't seen that].

Was introduced to Breaking Bad by our son, and got well and truly hooked, fantastic and gripping series. We are now on House of Cards as well BAnanas, really enjoying it, but there again, I have always been a little bit in love with Kevin Spacey! blush

Maybe we will stick with it then. It will have to look up pretty quickly though.

After all some highly intelligent posters have recommended it. grin

I watched breaking bad for a while and then got bored.

Also watched a few episodes of House of Cards but then got fed up with Kevin Spacey's character having only one facial expression; a self satisfied smirk.

And usually I love Kevin Spacey.

Anybody watching Game of Thrones?
