Anyone seen this yet? I went today, and it was not what I was expecting at all!
Fantastic acting all round, and riveting to watch.
It sort of reminded me of the Tennessee Williams films, and I could imagine Elizabeth Taylor playing the Meryl Streep part.

I really enjoyed it and found it quite stimulating in a strange way.

I saw it at the weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed it, terrific performances from Meryl Streep & Julia Roberts.

I saw this last week. I agree it was very Tennessee Williams .
I thought it was a little slow and started to wonder "is this it?" While I waited for a story to kick in. I did think Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts were excellent but can't say it would be my film of the year.

I saw this at the weekend and thought it was wonderful. Only wish I had had the sense to see it as a play at the National Theatre. The performances were superb.

Saw it last night, great performances from Meryl, as always, and Julia Roberts can imagine it very much as a stage play. My husband loved it, I was less enthusiastic and preferred the film we saw last week, Inside Llewyn Davis, yes agree with you gillybob it wouldn't be my film of the year either.

Loved this, great storming performances from the women but the scene that stole my heart was Benedict Cumberbatch sitting at the piano and singing to his girlfriend, in a sweet clear voice like the choirboy he undoubtedly once was.smile smile smile
