I found this got rather unpleasant ased nd tastless last time round.

Emilia will no doubt be pleased that she is getting another chance tonight due to the lack of a decent alternative!

Are we talking about the one where she takes in a homeless young feller off the street?

tanith Wed 14-Jan-15 13:32:13

I don't think so , I thoroughly enjoyed this weeks and the twist in the end of the tale made it more so but we won't spoil it for you grin grumppa didn't give it all away..wink

tanith

Thanks. I thought Silent Witness had only just started and I was up to date.

My silly fault. After grumppa's post I am wondering if I might be disappointed. grin

POGS you did watch the first program from last week 2 episodes.. maybe this weeks wasn't on catch up till the second episode had been shown... you should be able to watch this weeks 2 episodes which are mostly about murders on the underground..

merlotgran Wed 14-Jan-15 11:30:36

Last week's was about a teenage boy.

ninathenana Wed 14-Jan-15 11:08:04

There were two episodes last week Pogs which was the start of the new series maybe that's what you've just watched. I can't remember the story though blush

POGS Wed 14-Jan-15 11:01:04

Somebody help me out, I'm going nuts.

I watched what I thought were the first 2 episodes last night and 'nobody threw themselves under a train'. confused

It was about a teenage boy. I won't expend because some may not watched the two I am on about and it would spoil their viewing. How many progs have been shown? I think I have messed up somehow.

I enjoyed it but thought it was a bit drawn out, could probably have been told in an hour long programme without too much effort.

Clever DH knew last night the true story behind the cops father in the sub plot.

Brilliant acting by the male suspect, he gave me the creeps. I wasn't expecting the twist at the end.

I think that so far, this series is much better than previous ones, mainly because the sound quality has improved immensely. We`ve enjoyed both stories so far, and looking forward to the next one. The young police detective in this week`s story was quite tasty!

I like it! Have to put sub-titles on though. It's a drama, not real life.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 13-Jan-15 22:27:17

Good for you merlot. hmm

Ana Tue 13-Jan-15 22:18:56

I have recorded the last two episodes so am not going to read your post grumppa! grin

merlotgran Tue 13-Jan-15 22:17:26

If I haven't seen an episode of whatever I stay away from the thread discussing it. hmm

grumppa Tue 13-Jan-15 22:14:29

Sorry, I was so irritated I couldn't contain myself.

tanith Tue 13-Jan-15 22:14:16

I thought this weeks episodes were good, a good twist at the end that I hadn't guessed. I won't say what it was jings. I do agree with grumppa about the throwing themselves under the train though.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 13-Jan-15 22:07:56

grumpaa! I haven't watched it yet and you've given it away! shock

grumppa Tue 13-Jan-15 22:04:03

Anything more ludicrous than tonight's episode? A psychopathic couple who have committed a string of murders are surrounded by uniformed police on a London Underground platform, and allowed to stand side by side, unhandcuffed, while they are harangued by a demented Irish pathologist, at which point, understandably, they throw themselves under a train.

I agree that previous episodes were totally baffling. Less mumbling and more light would be helpful. I am Scottish and maybe I have been out of the country for too many years but I was having trouble understanding what some of them were saying. It is a much better series though.

lefthanded Mon 20-Jan-14 09:16:15

I have a couple of episodes recorded and waiting to be watched. To be honest, some of the early episodes in this series were so baffling that I have lost interest in the series as a whole. I'll keep them until I am really desperate for something to watch.

POGS Sun 19-Jan-14 22:15:59

I have had a tele day. I thought it was very good but I don't like the Irish pathologist. I would give him a s--p for being so arrogant if I was his partner.

It was a good story none the less, but Waking the Dead was better.

I thought it was just me, the hearing must be finally going! I found the Scottish accents together with background music too exhausting - we gave in and watched another episode of "Breaking Bad" on DVD instead!wine

merlotgran Fri 17-Jan-14 19:54:07

They could try speaking up as well. Mumble mumble dramas seem to be the going thing now.

Nelliemoser Fri 17-Jan-14 19:50:43

I just wish they would put the proper bloody lights on when in the middle of a post mortem. Last night ?Nikki had to ask for someone to put another light on. They are supposed to be able to see what they are doing all the time its vital in that job.
I blame silly trendy directors trying to create a "mood" with their lighting.

Atqui Fri 17-Jan-14 09:44:59

I think Emilia Fox looks gorgeous and not too thin, but agree that subtitles would have been useful!
