Is anyone else enjoying the current book of the week on Radio 4?
It's Hermione Lee's new book, Penelope Fitzgerald-A life.
If you are a reader of the late Penelope Fitzgerald's books I think you would enjoy it. A fascinating life read beautifully by Penelope Wilton.

It's on my book list,. I never get round to books on the radio as I can't tune the wretched thing to anything except BBC Newcastle .which is dreadful.

yes, I am enjoying this , on radio 4.What a chaotic life they all led, their poor children!

Stansgran I think you will enjoy the book.
Yes such a chaotic life rosesarered. Knowing now how private PF was I would imagine she would have never wanted her story told on national radio. But Hermione Lee has captured it all so well and I think I could listen to Penelope Wilton all day.
