I still haven't recovered from the M and S one a couple of years ago in which a big man pretended to hit Twiggy shock
Not my m and s and not my Waitrose - one belongs to shareholders and the other to the "partners".

As usual, I think John Lewis wins again. It's quite charming, which draws in the audience until they are hardly aware that it's an advert. And the only voice-over is a song, the message of which is 'I need someone to rely on'.

There is one ?M&S where it says something like..." We all would like the run up to Christmas to be longer!"
GRRR stop flipping telling us what you think we all want.

That just makes me want to switch off mentally. No we get enough.

I saw the John Lewis advert whilst sitting with some of my grandchildren, and they were mesmerised by it. I found it enchanting. Not sure it would have any effect on where I shop, though.

The John Lewis one would suit him whatsgoingon it's very geared to children - too twee for me though. I have to say I really like the M&S 'Alice' themed one. It might even make me go and have a look in M&S! grin

The M & S advert frightens my youngest grandson. It's not up to their usual standard. .
I haven't seen the Tesco one yet, or come to think of it the Cola ad also.
I see that the cola 'christmas' lorry is doing a tour of a few cities in December.
It seems to me that the. Christmas ads have become bigger than the actual programmes that are on TV. hmm

I saw a couple while doing the ironing on Friday evening. One was the M&S advert which I found quite scary and uncomfortable. I think it was meant to be based on The Wizard of Oz but reminded me of Alice in Wonderland. It took me ages to work out what was being advertised and who the company concerned were. I kept expecting it to turn into a car advert.

I also saw a Lidl, or may be it was an Aldi advert, which was unremarkable.

I haven't seen any other of the adverts.

I watched all the big stores' Christmas adverts last night. I do enjoy these "mini productions" (well the first few times). My favourite this year is Tesco but this may be because I like Rod Stewart! smile
