I sometimes went with my husband when he was driving a truck in Europe goldengirl and I was amazed by the quality and quantity of truckstops over there. Clean loos and showers and very good restaurants. We don't seem to have these facilities in this country.

We stuck with it because of good write ups and found it really entertaining.

I think that anyone of us could take issue with how our various jobs are portrayed goldengirl. My DH couldn't watch 'My family' which I thought was hilarious (at least initially!) as it chimed with our family. I become really incensed when watching dramas involving trials as they never, ever, come across anyone from Witness Service! smile

I'm working with Truckers at the moment [the real ones, not the TV series] and the only bit of realism seems to be the various bottles that one of the characters produced out of his cab - as loos are few and far between!!!! Did you know, by the way, that lorry drivers are often refused access to toilets and hand-washing facilities at the companies they visit?

The trailers for this programme was far more interesting than the programme. I gave up halfway through the second episode.

I too watched the first episode, but found the story line poor, Stephen Tompkinson deserves better.smile
