Just heard on the news that this lowlife demanded his £450k payoff, plus health insurance, plus legal fees, plus £10k to help him "deal with the media" - these demands were conveyed via his solicitor as tehe condition for him resigning, rather than insisting on the even more expensive route of the BBC sacking him. Well.....this sounds like blackmail to me - I thought that was illegal.
