This song is currently being used in a TV ad. I was a John Denver fan for years.Saw him live at a concert in Cardiff shortly before his untimely death.
'Annie's song' takes me right back to a romantic episode in my life. Ooooo!
Any other John Denver fans on GN

I love it - but I wince when he sings 'Let me lay down beside you'!

I love the song. It was on the go when DH and I got together and means a lot to me....relates to my own name, you see wink

Saw a TV commercial for a John Denver CD last night and realised how much I love all of his songs! Don't usually buy CDs but might have to this time.

'Annie's Song' is also 'my' song. (I'm Anna to some, Annie to others) and I hate seeing it used for a stupid advert.
I loved him and love all of his songs, many of which I have on my ipod. Truly beautiful lyrics and melodies.

One of my many favourites also - written in a lift a believe?

My 4 Year old grandson loves 'Grandma's Featherbed'! Have quite a few of John Denver's albums, I used to enjoy his tv show back in the 70/80's

His lyrics are always meaningful and poetic.

When DH and I were courting we used to visit his brother (under duress on my part) who was an avid fan of John Denver and that is the only music he ever played whether anyone else liked it or not. I wasn't a fan of the man who became my BiL or JD although I quite liked Calypso.
