I love costume dramas, for the costumes only when they play about with the story! The original Forsyte Saga outshone the newer one. Lark Rise went too far away from the books, but their setting was splendid at the start. This new Paradise seems to be trying to use as many actresses in a small space wearing appropriate clothes as possible!
Could you call I Claudius "costume drama"???????? That was wonderful & I've just watched it all again recently!
