Wallander - Sir Ken version

I quite enjoyed it, but I wonder why it is so that so many programmes just recently are filmed in the dark, with rain pounding down. We like Black-out - last night on BBC1, but it is so dark, even in the daytime and indoors, The Killing is the same, lovely story, but so gloomy. I know it is supposed to be atmospheric, but does it also always have to rain, or perhaps our own weather is getting to me. (we had a whole day yesterday when the sun shone - I've marked it on the calendar).

So disappointed. First series with him was excellent. Loved original Swedish version, but Sunday's was badly acted and extremely depressing to watch.

It was painful to watch.

We got fed up with trying to understand the mumbling and peering at a dark screen.

I kept looking for the sub-titles ...prefer the swedish version of this story.

I thought it was awful. He seemed like a cardboard cutout of a tortured man. Why would any woman live with him. I thought the Swedish one was like the books - this certainly wasn't. Long looks into the distance followed by swathes of countryside. Ugh!! Certainly won't watch it again.

Not as much as the Swedish one, Ken's stubble was too groomed and designer.

Crikey Gg I thought he looked extremely quite crumpled and lived in!

I'd have loved it if I hadn't seen the Swedish one, the real one. I quite like Sir Ken, but he shoud have a more lived in crumpled look for this. I agree you can see him acting anguished.

Trouble with Sir Ken is he's so 'akkkting'; Robbie Coltrane would've made a better Wallander [English version]. What is Robbie Coltrane doing these days? I sht edog nice, though? And is his love interest all young looking compared to the Swedish on who actually looks like 'a woman of a certain age'?

Gave up half way through - turgid....
OH watched it all and I asked him whodunnit. He knew who, but not why!

First one I've seen and I thought it was depressing and gloomy and slow. Again, I couldn't always hear what they said so it was hard to follow.( I am not deaf)

I kept expecting Ken to lapse into his Harry Potter character which made me giggle.
